my grandma got me a target gift card so now I'm waiting for the end of december for Shadow of the Colossus
Well hopefully you're able to stay up then.
Lol nope
y'all my parents actually got me a ukulele and then got me on video freaking the fuck out and ugly crying when I opened the present and it's the exact one I wanted, like the exact fucking ukulele that I showed my mom like two months ago
dude that's awesome!!
That's wonderful!
I didn't even know I cried until they showed me the video
also the sound it makes is so pretty, it's so beautiful and soft and natural
Awww
Ah! Thats so awesome, I bought myself a ukulele last year and it's so fun and relaxing.
That's cool
I honestly debated buying a uke at one point but then was like "wait no I haven't even properly learned the guitar that's too many instruments" lol
How many instruments do you play?
uhhhh lemme see
drums, violin, flute, trumpet, and guitar, with the best being flute and the most current being guitar
there's probably more in that list but I can't think of them rn
well a ukulele can be a good introduction to the guitar. I don't want to say it's just a mini guitar or just a step stool for learning guitar, but it can get you used to the strings and how to play chords before you move onto something more difficult

Woah
yeah but like…too much money…my parents already bought me a new guitar…
Yeah
I've played more in the past but at the moment I only play piano and flute

Have you played before getting this one? Is this your first one? Have you borrowed others before?
yeah my sister plays piano and my other sister wants to play drums
That is gonna be loud

Me? I've never borrowed anybody's ukulele because the one person I knew who played ukulele was somebody I wasn't talking to at the time, but I told my grandma that I was really interested in it and a couple days later she bought me a cheap plastic one. It didn't sound too great, but I still fell in love with it instantly and it was enough to learn the basics with.

dude if you want to learn I could let you borrow my old one
it's kinda loud and sounds pretty plastic (idk if that makes any sense lol) but you don't have to tune it too often and you can definitely learn notes, chords, and strumming patterns on it
That's really cool

Cool. I play ukulele and I started by borrowing one from the music teacher at my middle school who had bought about 7 or so for the school. I would take them over the weekend and teach myself. I did this for about a month or so, and my parents decided on their own to buy me a ukulele, and I love it to pieces. I was just curious as a fellow uke lover.
I had kind of a similar experience with guitar? like I mentioned that I wanted to play to my grandma and she was like "hold on wait I got you" and then my grandpa went out and got my uncle's old guitar, which honestly has so much value to that part of my family I started crying once I got home bc I couldn't believe that they had actually given it to me. it's an old electric I had to fix up and I love it so much
