  • strike up a convo with some friends. (over text or something)

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

my mind completely went blank so all i can think of is pressing flowers/trying a new hobby
(for those looking for hobby ideas, i have… quite the list, all you have to do is ask)

@Anemone eco

Also!

  • Listening to music
  • Photography around your house (and through your windows)
  • Playing a musical instrument (if you have one)

@Toxic_Persephone group

  • draw a stoopid little man and laugh at his life as you make it up
  • Eat all the bread in your house, you deserve them carbs
  • wash your hannnds. Like seriously. Wash them after everything
  • learn how to twirl a pencil across your fingers
  • start an origami collection
  • count how many hairs you find on your pillow
  • pet that animal
  • go to your yard (or your neighbors) and tie grass together into knots
  • Find the weirdest thing you own
  • Paint your nails regardless of your identity (it do be kinda relaxing tho)
  • study the DSM-5
  • count the freckles on a celebrities face
  • play stupid idle games
  • dance like no one is there
  • celebrate your half birthday, or your birthday, or your quarter birthday, or your fifths birthday, etc.
  • Draw a circle and give it a name. Add items to it to create its personality

These are all weird and dumb but there you are!

@Pickles group

  • write something

Psht what even is that? Writing? Haven't done that since November

  • Listening to podcasts

I highly recommend My Favorite Murder, Morbid: A True Crime Podcast, and Wine & Crime if you're into true crime. They're all true crime comedy podcasts, but there are also a whole lot of not comedy ones that are super educational.

ALSO *mildly upset pickle noises* why was I not tagged :(

@Spider-man

I don't have online school until Wednesday and im stressing so I'm definitely going to distract myself with some of these lists

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

What I usually do when i'm extra bored is find a youtube channel i like and simply binge all of their videos
You often end up discovering some old gems that hadn't been seen by mankind in ages
like just today i discovered this minute long clip and it's beautiful

@Katastrophic group

I recommend taking up a new hobby or learning something new! Here are a few things I've dabbled in. They all turned out mediocre at best but they were fun. There's good videos on youtube for getting started with most of them!

  • knitting/crocheting
  • watercolor painting (or acrylic but that's something I do more than a hobby)
  • bead looming (think friendship bracelets but made out of tiny sparkly beads. Kits are cheap at most craft stores)
  • embroidery or in my case, embroider by number
  • pick up a new game or challenge (example, minecraft is great and has something for everyone, or check out free or cheap steam games. If you have amazon prime check what games you get free each month!)
  • sketchup/3D modeling (skethup is great for quick and easy houses and art references, slight learning curve)
  • clay modeling, air dry or polymer (plastic oven-bake clay)
  • write a oneshot or ficlet in a different style or genre (or draw, i did this and sketched my characters in a modern day style, as well as a genderbend)
  • encryption and codes (https://www.dcode.fr/tools-list is really cool)

and as always, youtube binging is great.
