I've been having a pretty bad week and I just got some pretty bad news and I'm overwhelmed with stress, so when I get home from school I'm just gonna lock myself in my room and blast music, but I've overplayed all 500+ songs on my spotify already, so I need some upbeat songs. Preferably upbeat rock (does that make sense? is that considered a thing? Idk). If you need examples of what I like most, Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind and She Doesn't Get It by Alinea are good ones, but any music will do as long as it's upbeat and fast.

Please don't link youtube videos here btw, I can't view them.

Okay idk what you've listened too so sorry if I recommend something you've already listened to

Mean Girls is really good and some of the songs are pretty upbeat, but idk how rock they are (A Cautionary Tale, It Roars, Apex Predator, Sexy, Revenge Party, Whose House Is This?, I'd Rather Be Me, and Do This Thing are all pretty upbeat)

Next to Normal is a rock musical but if you haven't listened to it before, it's pretty fucked up, so if you're trying to be cheered up, this definitely won't do the trick

Heathers is also a rock musical, but again, dark

Bring it On is pretty good and some of the songs are pretty upbeat (What I Was Born to DO, Do Your Own Thing, 'Friday Night, Jackson', Something Isn't Right Here, Bring it On)

It isn't a musical but I really like this song called Ring the Bells by Johnnyswim, and that's pretty upbeat

That's all I can think of rn but if you want anymore I'm sure I could think of more

@SaltyLasagna

It's okay if the meaning is dark, as long as the song is powerful or at least sounds upbeat (Semi-Charmed Life sounds like a happy, upbeat rock song, but it's actually about two people in a relationship getting addicted to crystal meth)
And I love Heathers btw

Independence! from Trail to Oregon by Starkid is a very upbeat patter song about all the horrors of the Oregon Trail. Hell, the refrain is practically "When you're bit by a bear! Or a snake! Mother Nature's pretty great!"

@Moxie group

Yeah okay well that's kinda the definition of Next to Normal
Its about a family and the mom has bipolar disorder and she also keeps seeing her teenage son, who died when he was a baby

@Moxie group

Yeah, most of the songs are very upbeat and rock-y
Everything Else isn't but it's still very good and I like that one
Perfect for You isn't, but still a good song
I Miss the Mountains isn't upbeat either and not my favorite tbh
He's Not Here isn't upbeat either

That's all I can think off of the top of my head
But yeah this musical is long but super good and super dark

I'm sorry you're having a bad week and I know what it's like especially since I'm having a pretty sucky week as well.
And I don't know if I have any recommendations but I tend to listen to calming songs like cavetown and dodie

If you want fast, Twenty-One Pilots is good for that.
