im gender queer and dont know how to tell my parents..

maybe you could create a gender queer character, and talk about that character to them, and use that as a means to figure out what their opinion is, and educate them about what gender queerness is and etc. To prep them, if you will, and then once you feel are ready, tell them that you are gender queer.

Can queer be defined as me being normally attracted to boys but if the right girl comes along I would go for it?

yeah totally! that could mean you're bi (with a preference for dudes) or pan maybe?
