Hello! I have high functioning autism, so according to my therapist I have trouble with like social interaction and stuff. Okay this is weird but please bear with me I need this info – what is like hugging and stuff like? Do yall know what to do? How much to squeeze the person? How long? And like kissing and stuff. I have no idea what that kind of stuff is like "normally". If anyone is looking for a prompt please help me out! Thank youuuuuuuuuuu
Well, I typically don't like hugs in general, but when people do hug me, it's a quick, tight hug , and I don't hug back.
Honestly, I only accept hugs from my closest friends, and it's normally just to surprise me. Long hugs make me really uncomfortable.
I've never really kissed anyone, so no advice there.
Also, this is just my personal preference, it's different with other people.
Hugs vary from person to person. If you hug a kid, they'll probably wrap their arms around you and squeeze for a while. Or they'll want to be picked up. If you hug a close friend, again, both arms are wrapped around. If you hug a less-close friend, or a relative you don't know that well, one armed hugs are acceptable. They're typically brief. But it varies, so there's no one way to hug. Just do what feels comfortable to you :)
