forum Phantom Notifications

Whenever I go into the list of forums, the 'general writing' forum says I have two unread threads. But If I go into that forum, all the threads are marked as read. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I have no idea, but I'm having the same problem and it's sort of weird?

I keep getting emails for posts that happened weeks ago
