People get really angry about things on tumblr, especially when it involves sexism, and Confuzzled said they were a menist. Feminists on tumblr would have a field day arguing against Confuzzled.
I am a feminist. And yet I'm not gonna argue. Because real feminists believe in gender equality, we just call ourselves feminists because women haven't been experiencing that equality much. And I don't want a flamewar.
Confuzzled makes some good points, though there are things I'd like to correct I won't since I don't want to offend anyone.
Go ahead and share your points, Impossible. I believe that all of us would agree with what I was trying to say, but I just couldn't say it right.
I'll probably add y'all's points to this thing.
It’s a good thing this isn’t tumblr, or else @Born_Confuzzled_Chameleon would be getting destroyed right now, but we fans have a civil conversation on notebook.
YES
PRAISE DA LORD
THANK YOU
I'm glad I dont have tumblr

I'm glad I dont have tumblr
I do have tumblr, but I just try and stay in the fandom areas and stay away from all the social stuff
I left even browsing on Tumblr after people were saying that certain movies or characters were racist, sexist, or homophobic because a character didn't act they way they did in their headcanons or fanfic. And I say to people like that, "Cry yourself a bridge, get over it, and focus your anger at problems bigger than Finn having shiptease with Rose."
Thank the stars this website is actually civil!!
To be fair
I see all your points
but I don't think I really matters I guess
I mean if the guy wants to be civil or curtious , let him do it
I think it's just manner's I guess
Yes, but I'm trying to say that guys shouldn't feel like they HAVE to.
I mean if you don't like it then Don't say anything
just hold the door for him when he gets out
Yes, but I'm trying to say that guys shouldn't feel like they HAVE to.
You can't stop personality
Sometimes it's just in their blood
I mean, I'd personally prefer if a guy held the door for me than slam it on me, but I can see your point. I'm honestly usually the one holding the door, to be honest.
Are you a boy/girl or something else?
Girl. And at my school, the boys all shove each other through the door before anyone else, so I always end up holding it for the girls and the guys who aren't aggressively obsessed with getting to sports practice.
No it's cool I actually like holding the door (one of the five people that does lol) just like I like scraping dishes at work.
Most of the time when I hold doors open I do it subconsciously, regardless of gender/sex/whatever. I was just raised to do that and show kindness to people. I don't really say anything either, like "ladies first" or anything, just a quiet "you're welcome" if they thank me.
Also, yeah I guess the "guys holding doors open" thing is technically sexist, but none of us really mind. It's not so much feeling required to do it, but more of a reflex almost.
There shouldn't really be a need to make a scene of it, in fact, trying to let a guy who's holding the door open go first can actually hurt them given the right circumstances. It can make them feel as if they aren't wanted or needed or that their services aren't appreciated. Or maybe not and most other guys who hold doors open are just emotionally stronger than me ((o_o))
*Disclaimer: I in no way speak on behalf of the entire male population, just myself and a lot of guys I know
