take a break from it and watch a movie/read a book/listen to music, it can be really inspirational and relaxing

I get distracted really easily though (I think I have ADD) and can usually only write like one chapter over the course of a few days lol

Hello! I just through plot ideas around with my partner and sometimes they work out! Sometimes they don't. If you want deep bass notes in your music, I recommend the youtube artists JT. Music, they do all of their songs based of video games. A personal favorite is "Can't be Erased," which is based of Bendy and the Ink Machine.

I've got waltzes I've got techno music, I've got… the soundtrack to Shindler's List?? lmao, I love Spirit of Orchestral music on YouTube though he's got some awesome fantasy sounding background music. Disclaimer Feel Free To Completely Ignore This Rant
My characters are being teeny tiny little shits rn (and I knoooow that's a terrible excuse and I'm in charge of them and all that) but it's very annoying and I've decided to rant here because y'all get it:
So my girl Naomi has this teapot from her dead parents it's super important to her. And James, her adoptive brother, accidentally broke it while drunk. She obviously loses her mind, he feels really really bad because it was really important to him too they were his parents too. Naomi, however, has a too quick temper and said some really hurtful things along the lines of "they were never your parents." He is really really upset by this and promptly fucks off and stays out all night. It's the next day, James has not come home yet. Naomi is wracked with guilt over saying such awful things to her brother and she's also really hit hard by the loss of the pot because it was the last thing she had of her parents. The problem is IIIIIIDDDDKKKKK what to do next! Like we have a while before we get to the next major plot point and it's just dragging in between.
Any advice?

Maybe have the characters casually run into each other so they can both apologize? Or maybe James is broken up with guilt, gets drunk, does something stupid, and gets hurt and has to go to the hospital, Naomi is his emergency contact so they call her about it? Idk

Also I like Saltys idea of getting drunk and getting hurt but if you don't want to injure James you could have him drink way too much and pass out and then someone at the bar uses his phone to call his emergency contact which would be Naomi and she would have to go get him? I tried, im late but i tried (I had to deal with family and stuff so I haven't really been on)

You guys those are both really good ideas thank you! <3 I forgot to mention it's kinda in this "dystopian" if you will future so hospitals and phones are a no lol but I just kinda had him wander home after a day of her marinating in her guilt and anger. I think it reads a little weird but it was the best I could come up with in-universe lol
