Let me tell you about Emma Catherine Place.
She was born on February 18th, 1998.
She was my friend and babysitter.
She was a camper, S.A.L.T., and staff member at Cascades Camp under the name Estes.
She spoke in front of close to a thousand highschoolers at CHIC one year.
She had three sisters.
She attended college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
She loved God, nature, being outside, and hiking.
She died a year ago today.
She was 19.
Emma and one of her best friends, Emily Lang, were walking a trail on Mt. Hood when they lost their footing and fell 150 feet to the base of a waterfall. They both left behind families and friends (including me) that miss them very much.
Please pray for said families and friends as the anniversary of their deaths passes. It would be much appreciated.
