This aite is full of badasses. I could throw a few on the spot, but I'm not gonna, as I'm sure they wouldn't be a big fan of the shout-out…

I myself do throwing knives, throwing axes, shuriken (that's where the Shuri part of my name is from), ride ATVs, various kinds of motorcycles, ride horses, and am a pretty good shot, and again, there are people here of comparable skill here. So, if you want to learn to do something "awesome", or get the technique down… Come here! Myself and anyone else with knowledge on the topic will try to help you…

@Yamatsu

How good are you with a ball and chain? My character basically uses a Chain Chomp from Mario as a weapon like in a few other games. Along with simply smacking people with it, he throws it like a bolo or a sock full of nickles. How can you do something like that accurately, barring strength constraints (the thing is two feet in diameter and made of iron, so…).

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

I'm back, and the only ball-and-chain thing I know how to use is a kusari-gama, but that's a kama with a ball and chair on the end so…

Here… Lemme just put out a few directions…

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Stand with your feet just under two feet apart in a relatively even yet comfy msnner.

If the chain is going left, you lean your weight right, and vice versa, basically, you are supposed to oppose the chain, but don't fight yourself stance-wise.

Do not attempt to "lash" with it. Instead, swing it out in a forward motion, and if you plan to strike exactly after that, withdraw at the same speed as you threw it out there, so you can turn or redirect it fluidly.

The kusari-gama is mostly used to disarm and subdue enemies, not as a means of attack outright.

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

Yeah, that works and is usually attempted, but don't hsve him do it above his head or behind his back, at the sides or front is how it goes, and certainly not in close combat…

@Yamatsu

If the ball is heavy enough, could you just swing close to yourself (but not close enough to hit you, too) and hit them over and over? Or is the forward throw the best option?

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

You could swing it in a Dempsey Roll pattern to help you, but you have to do the triggerstep and counterstep like the real thing, only to a much more extreme level, which would probably cause ligament damage to anyone who isn't around peak human in terms of physical prowess.

(The Dempsey roll is a boxing move, if you want to learn more about it, go look it up.)

@Yamatsu

Thank you! My character also boxes as well, so that helps a lot! Any tips for a slugger other than to guard when not beating the snot out of someone?
