I've noticed that there are a lot of bilingual (or multilingual) people on this site, and thought it would be cool if we could teach each other the language(s) we know. So if you are willing to try to teach someone a language could you comment below what language(s) you know, or if you want to learn a language you could ask if anyone knows that language. So basically this forum will act as a connection between learners and teachers. Just PM the teacher if you're interested (or if they list another way). I don't know how popular this will be but thought it would be cool. Or if you share the programs you used (if you used any) to learn the language you know that would be nice too.
Yo anyone know Swedish? I'd like to learn other than duolingo
I know French! If anyone needs help with français!
Is it possible to learn french and spanish at the same time?
I'm not sure, but I do know that the languages are very similarly structured.
I know Spanish (not fluent but still pretty good). I probably won't be on this site as much as I was during the summer, but just PM me if you want to learn.
Yeah, if they have the same root language learning one or the other should be easy.
Also pretty fluent in espanol over here.
It would sometimes be confusing to learn two completely new languages at the same time, especially if those two languages are quite similar, like French and Spanish
In my opinion, French is easier. Granted I've never taken Spanish, but I have had friends who did.
Hi I'm a native Spanish speaker. PM me if there's something you want to know.
French and Spanish aren't that similar btw. They sound soooooooo different. There really would be some confusion if you were learning, say, italian and spanish at the same time, because those are really really similar to the point where as long as i pay attention and am aware of context, I can understand italian pretty good. Same is true for Portugese.
French, on the other hand: I can't. It's not Spanish and it's not like Spanish and they're not that similar.
Maybe they have some common roots (cough cough Latin) but that really means little in the grand scheme of things nowadays.
i could teach Lithuanian, but its a useless language
No it's cool to be able to speak a language like that!
yeah, pretty much the only reason to learn Lithuanian, is if you want to be bilingual
Is that your first language?
Since so few people know it, it could you and a friend's secret language!
yes, its my first language, and funnily enough, my best friend and i usually communicate in English. dont know why?
we have some weird ass words..
Yeah…
I think I know what you mean
i have started a story in Lithuanian, there wouldnt be a word you would understand
Oh uuuuh I also am learning Asl but like… you can't exactly pm anyone in that so idk.
My American and Australian friend keeps on comparing whether ASL or Auslan (that's Australian Sign Language) is simpler. ASL is, apparently
