Ok, so parents say never meet someone IRL that you meet online and like i agree it is dangerous because you don't know who they are. But they or at least most people (maybe) don't see a problem with meeting someone IRL that they met online.
At least if you go meet someone go to a busy park, mall, coffee shop even, just a crowded place in general. Also never go alone at least have friends with you.
But still probably not the best idea to meet random strangers.
(Unless in the sims universe or maybe animal crossing.)
