I said it both ways in my head. its definitely DATE-ah.

Daa•ta Is how I pronounce it. You can pronounce it either way.

I say datta. And then someone says to correct it to DATE-a So I start saying that. And then someone tells me its datta. Which one is it actually?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is one of those American vs. British English things.
