Ya, i was thinking that but it was the first thing that came to mind. shrug

Well if they're a shitty person, then disrespect them all you want. As long as you're not putting them down for something that they can't control and something that isn't hurting anybody. And if they try to call you homophobic/transphobic/other disrespectful things then you unleash hell, my friend.

Deleted user

Hunny, I'm called homophobic all the time. Nothin new to me. Haven't been homophobic in years but apparently not supporting it is homophobic. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Deleted user

People are probably just lashing out because they feel hurt about not being accepted. Because let me tell you, it does sting to know that there are people out there that believe that it's not right to love somebody of the same gender, or to love somebody of a gender other than male or female. But as long as you're not getting in the way of anybody's happiness, I don't really see a problem with it.

Deleted user

Never unleashed hell on 'em all either, they'd just use it all back on me.

It's more of the "Your a homophobic Christian" card. I even get it from straight people.
I also honestly don't understand why candy has to be a gay theme. What, is a normal chocolate Hershey bar representative of straightness?

Deleted user

IT'S JUST STUFF THAT GOES THROUGH YOUR BODY TO GIVE YOU ENERGY!

Deleted user

You've got a point, lol. I'd honestly just try to stay away from anybody that starts causing trouble.

Deleted user

Hard to when you got the internet. I hate it and i love it.

LGBT want a gay chocolate bar because they want representation and acception (and they can work toward that more if big companies are representing them)
Hershey does it bc that means gay people are gonna buy a shitload of them, and that means M O N E Y

tbh sometimes it's better to just let people do what they wanna do, a lot of stuff i find counterintuitive i end up sort of turning my head away from the sheer amount of cringe

Lol honestly I'm one of those people that people love to hate. I'm not straight, not cisgender (meaning I don't identify as female, which is the gender I was assigned at birth), I love weed, I believe that women have to right to have an abortion at the beginning of their pregnancy, and I'm a Christian

@indecisiveinvalid eternal brain fog

i mean
i'm cis but i am most certainly not straight & i abstain from religious conversation and i'm 100% for the right to have an abortion, i like hating on stuff as much as the next person but i try to stay in my own lane since what other ppl do should be none of my business unless it's damaging the livelihood of others

They want to represented by a chocolate bar? They have the rainbow, for goodness sake. Instead of pretty colors, they want to be represented by chocolate. Chocolates good and all but, am i really going to express myself with a chocolate bar?
There's TONS of new lgbt content! 3/4 of all ya'll on this site are putting lgbt in your stories.
I can understand that but come on, there's alot already! It's not like it's 1822 in Sadi-Arabia and people like 'em are being killed.
They got books, movies, tv shows, porn, flags, sites, Skittles, t-shirts, and songs!

Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

Yeah, but you have to understand that there are a lot of people that hate the LGBT community and try to silence us. By getting represented by such huge companies such as Hershey, it becomes nearly impossible to silence us. It's getting harder and harder for people to pretend that we don't exist.

@indecisiveinvalid eternal brain fog

i understand where you're coming from but things like fanfiction have always been fairly strong in The Gays™ and people do continue to be discriminated against and become murdered for being part of the spectrum, there's no question about that
i think that if it doesn't really affect you at all, it's not something worth spending much thought process about

And it's not really the chocolate that we care about. It's the size of the company and the fact that such a widely loved company is putting us on display at stores and saying "hey, you exist, and we respect you!"
That's the representation we want and need.

Deleted user

Abortions vary with me. If it's necessary then yes. I just feel like it's redundant, trying to protect kids in schools when tons of babies are being killed. If you don't want a child don't try to.
There's always orphanages and foster families.
I don't really have much of a case for it though.

I can get that, but is everything else just poop?

I honestly feel like if you're raped, you have every right to get an abortion. If the baby has severe health problems that would greatly effect your financial situation, you have a right. If you used protection but it failed somehow, you have a right. If you don't have the ability to give a baby the love, attention, and care that it needs, you have a right.

If you are fully capable of taking care of a child that was conceived through consensual intercourse, and you are late in the pregnancy, then…. ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…..

No. Everything else is something we need as well. As you can see with the horrible discrimination in America that we have a long way to go and a lot of work to do.
