I write because I need to get all these ideas out of my head or I'll go crazy. Also, I respect my own thoughts and ideas so I thought that the paper should listen. I don't like forgetting something that I thought up. It's a way of release, you know?
And of course, escape. I can just fly away on a beautiful fluffy cloud and invest myself in creating and nurturing these precious characters with the lives that I want to tell the stories of. You know when I make up a character, I don't really think of it as adding to him/her, more like discovering the person.
I LOVE CREATING!
mmkay, bye.

Randy Savage?
Either way, I completely understand. In fact, I always say, "I found out that Alaria does this…" or "It turns out that Fury…" I explore them. When I hit that writer's block, I always perceive it as the character just being secretive, or shy. And I often hit writer's blocks with shy characters. Coincidence? I think not. I'm glad I'm on the same page as someone.
Also, there are times when I swear my characters take over my head for a bit, influencing my thoughts and actions. It's kinda scary.
lol randy savage? I have no idea who that is.
And about characters taking over your head, yes I agree. Sounds a little insane, but I start liking the things they like and I start to think like them sometimes…Or maybe they like what I like and think like me. agh, I overthink things.
Same here! I completely understand you @hopelessromantic.
@MidnightWarrior13 Thank you! It's comforting to know that I'm not alone :)
