I just want to know if I could get sued for writing 2nd generation characters for fairytales. Such having characters such as the daughter of Robin Hood or the son of Merida or the twins of Snow White. Because I really want to write this book and I have a really solid idea for it already, but I don't want to get in trouble or anything.

I don't think you would get sued, honestly, as Nobody owns Snow White, Robin Hood or the like. They're public property. But if you did something using Disney Snow White, yeah, you might get sued.

I agree with shurikenwolfbadass_13, I read a book called the Land of Stories, and It has daughters, sons, relatives, and adaptions of the first stories. The author didn't get sued.

Honestly, I also think that you wouldn't get sued for writing a book like that, if you aren't like an adult or anything.
