Gwynville (gwanwyn walsh for spring)
Fons City (latin for spring)
Hiemvale (latin for winter)
Talvy (talvi finnish for spring)
Zimatown (polish for winter)
hope this helps a bit :) good luck with your story!
Is this for a location/city that changes identifier names depending on the season? (Which is kind of a great idea and I might use that >_>) If so, if you don't have an overarching language you need to fit into, you might consider simple vowel or consonant changes (Hiemvele for winter/fall, Haomvala for spring/summer…Or perhaps you use Talvy to refer to it when you want to identify the cold seasons, but Dalvy when you want to identify it during the warm period.)
Fornest ville for winter. Suneret for the spring.
For some reason Brushfur has a really cool ring to it for a town name.
Honestly, I just put words like "winter" and "snow" and such into a translator and choose whichever language sounds the coolest? There are quite a few Latin-originated names in my story.
It kinda depends on what type of person your character is.
Someone once told me to put ice cubes (or whatever is easy to fit a few in your mouth, gummies, etc.) and try to say a familiar name, then there is your new name! It throws in a few extra vowels, a misplaced consonant, and sometimes you get a perfect name!
When done in a group it's even funnier, hope it helps!
Schnee is german for snow, that'd be a cool one
Thank you to everyone who has replied!
