Okay so it's pretty easy—look up this website Gravatar on your search engine (google, bing, whatever you use) and make an account. From there just find an image you want to use for your profile picture and upload it to Gravatar. Your Gravatar picture will then appear as your profile picture for any site that uses Gravatar.

(Don't feel silly, tons of people didn't know how to change it at first. I already had a Gravatar account so that's the only reason I wasn't completely lost).
