If you don't already have a song, I'd suggest one from Guys and Dolls, it's very similar
The most important thing to do is practice a ton, but most of the time stage presence is a bit more important than actual talent. The choreographer/dance teacher I work with a lot said that it's pretty easy to teach skill, but it's way harder to teach stage presence, so it's something you just need to have for yourself.
For example, if you mess up, stay confident. Confidence is one of the most important things.
Be sure to slate before you start. (Hello, my name is (your name), I'm __ years old, and I will be singing _____ from/by (Name of singer or show). You could also mention the part you're auditioning for.)
Ok thank you. Its for my highschool so I already have a song to sing. I'll keep in mind being confident. I'll also try to kinda be a bit of what the character I'm really going for is like. I did 50/50 on the audition, but then literally a minute later I sand I Dreamed A Dream almost flawlessly- I hit the low notes and held out the whole shaaaaaaame thing!!! And I was like "dang, why couldn't i have been that good on my actual audition?"
