Theme: Mental/ Physical problem overcomed
RULES FOR COMPETITORS
Suicide, self harm, sexual assault, anxiety attacks, or child abuse may be included, but include a trigger warning.
No making fun of anybody's work.
This is a short story. No more than 1000 words, please.
No collabs. This is an individual competition. (you can ask for reviews and advice, though!)
And, yes, I have to say it, NO STEALING WORKS, off the internet, from others, just, no.
RULES FOR JUDGES
Up to 3 judges and one backup.
If you are triggered by anything (suicide, anxiety, etc), please let me know so that we can put our replacement judge in.
If you are biased about anybody's work (like the competitor is your best friend, girlfriend, sibling, etc) DO NOT JUDGE THAT WORK. Leave it to the other judges.
Do not talk negatively about anybody's work. Ever. It took time and effort, please recognize and appreciate that. When giving criticism, you must keep it as positive as possible.

Let's say Bob is triggered by panic attack stories, and a panic attack story comes up in judging. And Susie is the "side judge". She would come in and take Bob's place. Or if the main 3 judges can't make a decision, the side judge steps in. Or if a judge bows out. But otherwise, a side judge doesn't do much.
