For my English final, my professor assigned us the task of creating an allegory. We've all chosen topics and done research on them, my only issue is that I can't think of a good allegory idea to write for my topic. My topic is LGBTQ rights. Does anyone have any ideas on an allegory (dystopian or otherwise) for LGBTQ rights? Thanks so much. (We're allowed to use the internet to help us with this- I am not "cheating" in any way).

The X-Men movies are a well-known allegory for LGBT people. The mutant gene was supposed to be a stand-in for being "born this way". There's even a "don't ask, don't tell" reference in First Class.
