My character Bas, The Prince of Dragon Fire, The Rain Of Sorrows, The Tears of the Innocent, Destoyer of Worlds Peters has wings and I don’t know how to talk about it without it being too YA novel-esque. And I ‘m not sure how he conceals it on the daily because it’s part of one of the conflicts throughout the story.
Baggy sweaters and windbreakers while having the wings tucked close to his back. That'll help conceal any bumps and lumps except when in the summer (unless it doesn't get too hot where he lives).
What kind of wings does he have? Reminiscent of bird wings, bat wings, insect wings… Since he's the prince of dragon fire I'll assume dragon wings. He could conceal them by folding them tightly against his back and wearing bulky clothing or, if that's not enough, he could use a backpack or something to further hide them.
Also, what do you mean by YA novel-esque?
I like where you’re headed. I was thinking he had to have some king of thing that he wore under his shirt to kind of keep the wings down. And it’s uncomfortable as crap and that’s like a whole thing with him. But like, how do I…create a….wing……..bra????

Oh my god that’s exactly what it is I forgot those existed but that’s what it is.
It needs a name that’s like not sad or like depressing too much. I want it to sound like it’s something he uses everyday, and is like normal to him even thought he is aware it’s very not normal to everyone else.
