So I have several different characters, and I want to use them all within one big story. Some of them have magic, others don't. I don't have an idea FOR a story though. Anyone willing to help a writer out?

I've got my characters in place, but I don't know what to do for a story. There's a set of twins, four siblings, a girl who accidentally killed her boyfriend and is now grieving

Ok, so what you need help with is a plot, correct?

Wow, that sounds like a lot, the girl who killed her boyfriend. Obviously that is probably going to be a big point in her motivations or flaws throughout the story.
But the first thing, what type of story is it going to be? Fantasy? Drama? Romance? A little bit of all? And by fantasy, i'm talking about magic and that stuff.

Yeah, I definitely need a plot. I'm thinking fantasy, since most of my characters are magical, and drama too. As far as romance, two of my characters are in a platonic love relationship, and my poor bf-killing girl

Hmm, alright! So Think about your characters and their personalities and motivations. So basically, what do they want most in life and how can you stop them from getting that? For example, in my story, my Main Character just wants to be able to live a normal life, have normal friends, and normal love. But then, she and her friends are thrown into another universe and forced to defeat the villain! And that is anything but normal, exactly what my character wants.
I'll give you another example that came right off my head:
Maybe your character wants to be friends with another student in their school. They way you would stop that is make the character move or something like that lol. I hope that makes sense >-<
So, to sum it all together, what does you character want and how can you stop them from getting it?

Well…
My MCs, are the twins, Scarlett and Emma. Scarlett wants to figure her purpose in life. She's a social butterfly, and doesn't connect with her sister well.
Emma just wants to get out of high school (she hates cliques bc backstory), go to college, get a good job, and live alone. She's much more of a scientific person, and is very socially awkward as a result.
(My four siblings are from another world, with a monarchy.) Angelo, the oldest of the four siblings, wants his father's approval. He's been groomed since he was little to be the heir to the throne, and as a result, is very anxious and disconnected with his peers.
Clara, second-oldest and one half of the middle sibling duo, wants to be taken seriously by people. She is a woman who fights, so you can imagine how people are. As a result, she can be very abrasive. She envies Angelo for getting swordplay lessons from their father, but Angelo would swap places in a heartbeat.
Roane, the other half of the sibling duo, is the opposite of his older sister. His life goal is making sure Clara and Angelo don't tear each other apart. He's just as calculating as she, but prefers to wait and gather all the information before forging ahead. In their team, he's the brains to her brawn.
Andrea just wants everyone to get along. She's the pacifist ironically, being the youngest. She's very sweet, curious, and naive.
Laura is just trying to survive. She's pasting a smile on her face every day, trying not to break down at the agony of killing her boyfriend.

Ok, I read through all your characters and you said you had and idea for a story, can you tell me what that is and maybe I can help you go from there?

I was originally thinking of some of my characters meeting up, and then meeting the others??? Like Cole meets Andrea and would instantly become best friends, which then Scarlett meets them, Emma gets in on the action, etc.

Hmm i'll try and give you some ideas, but really, its all up to you :D

So, maybe you can have the twins go to the world with the other characters or vice versa. If the other world is more of a fantasy and magical place, i'd suggest having the twins go there instead because it would be more interesting! Maybe they would have to join together to defeat a villain or find a important relic or something?
