Why exactly does that error message happen on posts sometimes? I know it has something to do with posting links, but how does that work? What can I do to avoid breaking posts when I'm trying to share links?

If you're trying to share a google document, you have to make sure that the document is accessible to everybody. You may be able to fix broken posts if you make your document completely public.

I know that's one way, but recently on the announcements page someone managed to bork the thread by posting a link to another site, and I'm just curious as to why that happened so that going forward I know what not to do.

I'm not sure. I'd say contact the notebook.ai developers and see if they can figure out what's going on.
