Requiem is pretty good, but I haven't listened to any other songs :)

I found that this play had some serious issues when talking about suicide. I mean, the characters ARE just kids that are dealing with that scary topic and the aftershocks of it, but then you have stuff like the note.

"The world HAS to see the note."

Um, no the fuck they don't? Not only can that potentially trigger those dealing with suicidal thoughts, but it also means that you have absolutely zero respect for the dead and the "private message they had intended for one person."

SPEAKING OF RESPECT FOR THE DEAD, why is it that the only named Jewish character in the whole show is the one trying to make a quick buck by capitalizing off of someone else's death? One that they technically had a hand in as was demonstrated in the beginning through their seemingly offhand insult? I have no sympathy for anyone in this story, save the sister of the deceased. This feels like a poorly-written tragedy with some decent music, though the only one they play on the radio is the happy-sounding one before everything really goes to shit.

Sorry, I had to rant about this. I went, saw it, the production itself was excellent, but this was not a musical I would recommend to anyone else.
