god dawn it not six TODAY this year sorry guys heehhh
And that's awesome. I probably would've gotten in state band if I haven't lost my Tuning Cap in a parade.
I started playing a few years ago; I had a teacher for like a month and then after I knew the basics, I played on and off for a year. Then I had to return the flute, but I recently bought one, so. I never played in school, and I mostly just play when I find pretty music or I'm bored (or when I should be practicing my main instrument).

What, my tuning cap?
Yes
Like, how?
(But then, I lose other weird things more times than I can count)

ok so my flute's used and everything and i mean EVERYTHING on my child comes loose and i was marching and didn't heckin realize i dropped it so when I got back to the place where we store our instruments it was hella too late. Also by EVERYTHING i mean it because we were doing a veteran's ceremony and I dropped my mouthpiece because IT WAS TOO LOOSE my child is crazy like me
Wow.
My flute's in pretty good condition * whispers * because I never use it.
yeah but i use it EVERY. DAY. in band because i had it everyday and it'll be the same until i graduate from High School (frick playin it in college)
So ,I started playing flute year ago right? Its actually a really pretty flute, but my dad refused to buy a flute from the store and so he bought it from Amazon (Yes I know, I really tried though.) And so a YEAR LATER IT FLIPPING BROKE AND RIGHT BEFORE MY STATE AUDITION ! but luckily, the lady took pity and that is how I almost didn't make it, but was ranked bottom for state and also how I had to rent a flute and now I don't have one.

wow holy crap that sounds terrible. speaking of taking pity my band teacher when we went to go get judged had an ingury of some sort so she had this CAST on her leg (and we were going to Hershey soon after), and we got her the highest score she's ever gotten in 35 years of teaching either because 1. We were hella good or 2. they felt bad. or both idk
but wow that sounds awful.
Ha lol, but I'm really said though, because I dunno if theres even going to be a band next year since my school is so small. I think we have like 80 something kids now unless more people come. And I think we now have 7 kids in our band for next year.
Well no, they can't cancel band and if they do I'll come down from Smithsburg and assist you in holding a revolt. ACTUALLY do you know how many students in your school are in chorus?
It varies really But I think around 7 to 10, but in the spring they make the 3rd, 4th, and 5th do it.
wow that's crazy so even your chorus is depleted
huh
Thats because my school sucks. Except the Band and English teacher. English teacher lets us watch free movies and the band teacher gives us free toys, stickers, and cookies.
well then what's the point of going to school, right?
Looks around at everyone
ok ill stop
but that's terrible
My band has like 32 people….. I know we're so small
My band is huge because I go to the biggest school in my county there's like 4000 students
Wow
My school have like 20 bands, I don't even bother remembering all their names
okay wow some of you have huge bands
when I was a freshman our band was like… 35 people? but then by the time I graduated this year we got up to like 65 so that's good. The band director is trying to get split into 2 bands bc the skill level difference is just way too huge, between the newbies and the advanced kids.
Also my flute misadventure was snapping to attention in marching band, and my foot joint flew off and somersaulted through the air to land like 15 feet away. Thank goodness we weren't on the field in competition yet lol
Wow
I've never done marching and you're making it look scary
yess i relate to the marching band incident yeeesssss except my HEAD joint flew the flip off in a ceremony for veterans
