at one point in Mass
Priest: "The Lord be with you"
Everyone else: "And with your spirit"

But it wasn't always that way, the response used to be "And also with you" and it's sort of become a meme in a way because, despite the fact that it's been changed for over 10 years, some people still mess it up and say the old response, and due to the sorta meme thing it's become one of the more known Catholic terms. So that's probably why Darren felt really Catholic when you said "And I with you!", because it's phrased similarly to the old response. Does that make sense? I probably overexplained it but yeah.

It became a meme because a comedian named John Mulaney made a rather well known joke about it and then people thought it was hilarious whether they were catholic or not.
