Would love for some new music on my playlist. My preferences are alternative/rock/emo/punk/pop-punk, but I do like a bit of rap, and I'm open to trying other styles. Here are the musicians I already listen to:

  • My Chemical Romance
  • Twenty One Pilots
  • Green Day
  • Panic! At The Disco
  • Fall Out Boy
  • blink-182
  • Thirty Seconds To Mars
  • Paramore
  • Imagine Dragons
  • Nirvana
  • Sleeping With Sirens
  • Kendrick Lamar
  • J Cole
  • Chance the Rapper
  • Tyler, the Creator
  • Gender Roles
  • All Time Low

I've already got a lot, but I'm a music thot. Gimme the music, please!

@fruitbatsandearlgrey

Also, musicals. I say this a lot. If you don't like it that's okay, but it's great with finding a style or genre you like because musicals can go from classic to contemporary to rock to rap to electropop to genres I can't even name.

@Kaloobia

Okay first off GREAT MUSIC TASTE. Also, fellow music thot, whattup finger guns
Second off, some things that I think are of similar genres and that I've been listening to NONSTOP for like three weeks:

-Can I Say Baby by GIRLI (this ones really cute and emo and relatable for me, sorta pop-y)
-Casanova by Allie X (indie/emo chill)
-Empty by Olivia O'Brien (emo chill)
-Forgetting all about you by Phoebe Ryan ft.Blackbear (also just,,,, Blackbear in general, I like a lot of his stuff, I'm sure you've heard do re mi among other things) (this song in particular is a little bit more pop-y, hope that's okay)
-CARDI B!!! Mainly listening to Be Careful, I Do (ft.SZA) and I Like It (obviously all rap)
-Hey Thanks by The Wonder Years (this was such a 2017 summer song for me, and I'm still listening to it very often) (emo/alternative) (there's an instrumental PLOT TWIST THAT SNATCHES MY WIG EVERY SINGLE TIME seriously good stuff)
-Light Out by Mindless Self-Indulgence (alternaive?? rock?? you tell me)
-Blood // Water by grandson (THIS ONE'S SO GOOD, like hardcore rock but electronic??? Def give it a listen)
-Champion by Fall Out Boy ft. RM (so, the remix)

That's,,,,, a lot but also all I can think of off the top of my head ^^ I'm generally more into bubblegum pop/hip-hop, but I've always loved the pop-punk scene so I hope this has some stuff you'll like. Thank you for your attention <3

@Lavy-the-Nerdy-Sci-Fi-Birdy

(Does anyone ever listen to a really catchy song and then you start to listen to the lyrics a bit more and you're like, 'Mm. I have no clue what they're saying mom might pull a 'mom' and find hidden meaning which means I can't listen to this any more.'?)

@Oakie Dokie

~Khalid (R&B)
~Hamilton (Hip Hop Musical)
~Dear Evan Hansen (Indie Musical)

@Celestial-B

I see, you gotta find the right songs before you can get into it lol.
Lofi is really different from country tho, idk why i said it like that it makes it seem like they are similar. Its like chill beats and things like that.

I AM RANDOMLY REVIVING THIS THREAD!! ( P.S. I think you should check out BTS:)

@Tylerrr-M-P

@The_Anime_Addict_That's_High_On_Summer I don't listen to any KPOP music just because I've got bad memories tied to that genre. It might sound weird, but there's a story to it. I had a friend who was absolutely in love with BTS, SEVENTEEN etc. and listened to it non-stop. But recently she's cut off all contact with me (not gonna say why just cus it's a bit personal) and I can't see her again and I miss her so much. I need her back in my life but that's not going to happen, so listening to KPOP just brings back those memories.
WOAH
We gettin deep with BTS here
