One of my characters is Latino and I need to make sure that he’s legit, so if any of my Latino friends out there would help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Please help this ignorant white person.

Okay, so the difference between latino and Hispanic is…

Well for me it's the same thing because I fall into those two categories, it could be different for other people though

A hispanic is basically someone who can speak Spanish and a Latino would probably be someone from Brazil, I think lol. A mix of these two things would be people from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, etc.

Okay. Do you call your grandparents like grandma etc. or abuela(ita) etc.?

Because it’s typically shown in movies and stuff, but i don’t know if people actually do it commonly.

Sweet then I’ll keep that. Idk, but do you feel there are any stereotypes that Latinos are sassy or something? I only say that bc a kid in my class said that to his Latina friend and I’ve never really thought that i didn’t know if that was a thing.

Ohhhhh lord I would say that we are very sarcastic. Like this one time when I was small I was running around the house and my mom had told me to stop running and then I tripped on something and fell on my face, I was in terrible pain but I sucked it up because I knew I was gonna get in trouble and you wanna know what my mom said? "Baya sigele corriendo" which roughly translates to "yea look what happened, keep it up, keep running"
