Also so everyone who answers so far says they grew up in USA, this is funny because so far it is 50 50 and online say
"Grey and gray are both accepted in the English language. They refer to a color of a neutral tone between black and white, and can also be used metaphorically to convey gloom and dullness. However, gray is the more popular spelling in the US, while grey reigns supreme in the UK."

Now that I think of it, I've been taught gray most of the time. Though I use grey when writing, maybe it's because my old soul reads old English books.

I got to say something about the Garage/ Yard/ Rummage sale thing. Where I am from we often call it a tag sale because you put tags on all of the stuff
