Now that I remember this thread exists, I do have some updates about the game,,,
So I did a major design overhaul of the characters, which means redrawing the sprites. Yay? They needed some work, anyway. I’m also planning on reworking the assets, not exactly sure how that’ll go. Uhhh I haven’t been able to get any of the script done, like at all, I’ll just try that whenever I have motivation I guess. Right now I’m just waiting for spring break to do anything major for the game, whether that be writing a proper script or programming events.
Also, update on how I’m thinking the branching story will function. In Cacophony, the different choice options can lead you to different interactions, allowing you to bond with different characters and such, but overall converge into the same ending. Calamity, however, can have three possible endings. The good (“canon”) ending, the bad ending, and the neutral ending. Only the “canon” ending leads to Concord as the epilogue. I’ll be sure to edit that into the document,,,
All of this is obviously still subject to change, but it’s worth putting out here.
Also, one thing I forget to mention for a lot of my projects, it is not at all guaranteed that this will ever make it past the concept/beta stage and get published, this just just a project for fun. But that also doesn’t mean it will never get published. Idk, just don’t really look forward to either outcome ig.
