Charlie was lamenting the lack of light as well. She couldn’t see very well, and kept tripping over rocks and stumbling in the dark.
Everything in front of him was dark, dark and empty. The ground was the only thing telling him were the wall were, but the floor did not tell him when a crystal was ganging from the ceiling.
With his arms outstretched in front of him, he moved slowly and carefully as he made his way into the unknow.
Charlie stumbled and hit her knee, but she bit back her exclamation of pain. Nobody really cared about her anymore, or wanted her there. She trudged along. This was a terrible idea. She wanted string cheese.
"The end must be somewhere." Dwayne muttered, kicking away a stone, "At this point, I don't care if we die trying to find it."
“We can’t die!” Charlie whimpered, but a part of her was ok with it.
"Typically, we're already dead." He muttered. "We're lost, imprisoned, and have no clue how longs we've been here." Glancing back were he thought Charlie was, he said, "For me, maybe not for you, there is nothing to go home too."
“My mum has to be looking for me,” Charlie whispered into the darkness. “She has to be.”
"Well my- Oh wait," he chuckled, "I don't have any." Grinning, he turned away.
Charlie’s face fell, though she was sure nobody could see it. “Sorry.”
"No need." He said, "It doesn't matter."
“Okay.” Charlie didn’t know what to say, so she just kept walking. After a moment’s pause, she asked, “What are we looking for?”
"I have no clue…" He said truthfully. "An exit? A light?," he sighed and bowed his head, "Something that means we're getting out of here."
“Okay,” Charlie said again. She was at a loss. There was nothing she could do.
Frowning, he backed up a bit and took her hand. "Lets not get lost."
(Awww they're growing close again! Also, sorry I haven't been on much, there's a lot of stuff happening with my family right now)
(Ok, and thx for coming back :)
William walked behind them, moving back to where Thatcher was. The static was only growing louder by the minute. "Hey," he said quietly. He tilted his head a bit to the side, looking at the other. "Do you think we're going to get out of here?" He asked, hoping Charlie and Dwayne couldn't hear.
Thatcher continued to stare ahead. "Do you?" He asked after a moment, his face emotionless. William let out a shaky breath.
"I don't know, Thatch, I really don't know."
"We'll get out," Dwyane said, "I say this with truth, we will get out one way or the other."
