Any ideas for a spell list that I can use for my world? They can be for any type of magic, just please be sure to put what type of magic it is and that it is not from something like Harry Potter or D&D. Thanks!

If its not going to be published for money and its fan fiction I would think no one would care, other than that, just taking a pre-made system might get you sued if you plan to publish. I've been wondering about copyrights and such myself. (Like is there such think as stock magic, it would seem fireball would be stock by now.) I do know if you barrow J.K. Rowlings stuff she has been known to sue. Your better off making your own like everyone else or basing it off of real world pagan/mythology cultures. One thing I can add to this though is, that magic like art or literature is to the point where its hard to be original so if by accident or coincidence you copy something you are less likely to get sued, but if in the case it ends up in court, you would be in less trouble because you could prove more easily that you did't out and out take. Charges are more likely to be dropped or people settle if it looks more like great minds think alike. So don't sweat it too much, if you do find something you created to be too similar you can always change it to something else or change it so it is slightly different. Making a magic system isn't for the faint, its hard, time consuming, and requires discipline dedication, and a lot of time. Just so you know what you are getting into.
By all means though don't let this discourage you.
I've mostly been pretty generic with my magic (comes from the forest or the faeries, etc) but if you want to do names of spells and stuff, I'd say prolly just use the latin. So like @LadySeshiiria said above about using real world pagan/mythology cultures. I've been typing things into Google translate and usually putting them into latin.
