"I guess so. We'll probably learn a lot more about them in History and Elemental Training." Sera said. "I don't know much about them, only what I've heard from my parents. Come on, lets take a seat." The seating arrangements were set up in a semi circle, to adapt to the circular room, with three rows of six with an isle down the middle. Sera picked a spot in the middle row on the left, sitting furthest from the isle.

@Pizzaz11 group

"Wh- we're..supposed to train against the very things that almost wiped us all out?" Squid looks away from the walls to look at Sera, frowning a little but following and sitting about midway between Sera and the isle. He's hoping the same people sit next to them in this class too, like Jules and Ena. It would suck if they sat all the way across the room.

For a moment he continues looking at the walls, specifically focusing on the drawing of Jassika the Great. He can't imagine winning a whole war against gargoyles, even helping a tiny bit sounds atrocious. Suddenly he became the tiniest bit fearful, having gargoyles supposedly right next to the school, albeit in the forest, stressed him out and supplied his mind with many wonderful scenarios of getting attacked. He knows the gargoyles wouldn't leave the woods, because if they could wouldn't they have done if already, but still.

Cuji

"Well I'm sure that they're a lot weaker now. The Great Gargoyle War was centuries ago and we haven't had any gargoyle attacks since then. People have been hunting them and we seem to be winning so maybe they evoled, but in the opposite direction?" Sera shrugged.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules took a seat near Sera and Squid, terrified of what he had just learned. His excitement had faded, and he was now preoccupied with the possibility of his own death. But, if they couldn't fight back, wouldn't they all be dead? Furthermore, this was a centuries-old event. Take a deep breath, Jules. Concentrate on something intriguing. He looked at Jassika's portrait. NO Jules! Choose something else. He took a novel from his satchel, opened it to the chapter where he had left off, and lost himself in the words to distract himself from the killer creatures in the woods. He couldn't get a single thought out of his head. “Why would they try to overthrow us? What happened?” Jules raised his eyes from his book. He wasn’t too familiar with these tales. “Did we oppose on their territory?” He gave Sera a puzzled look. "Evolved in the opposite direction? Maybe for the sake of species survival…but that doesn't make sense." Jules was trying to make sense of it all.

Cuji

"I'm not really sure. The war did come out of no where as gargoyles where believed to be sentient creatures made of stone and suddenly they were alive a attacking witches. But no one really knows the reasoning for it. Hopefully we might learn something in history or from teachers."

@Pizzaz11 group

Squid shrugs, frowning a bit deeper. 'Evolving in the opposite direction'? Uhuh, sure. What if they're just waiting, biding their time- wait, no! Ugh, he can't let himself keep thinking stuff like that. That stuffs the reason he can't sleep sometimes at night, or has frequent nightmares about everything that could possibly go wrong. He finally looks away from the drawing, tapping his fingers on his desk as he focuses on Sera. He wants answers just as much as Jules does. Hopefully the witch knows more, or has some theories that could put his mind at ease.

"Oh? Well..I guess, although answers sooner would be nice.." He mumbles, sighing as his eyes drop down to the desk again. Well so much for putting his mind at ease.

Cuji

“But hey, it sounds fun and if we’re ever in trouble, I’m always up for a little adventure.”

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules gave Sera's words some thought. An unexpected war? That seems shady. Why would Gargoyles want to fight witches in battle? His fear suddenly gave way to curiosity. Additionally, he believed that gargoyles weren't sentient creatures, only ones that guarded to fend off evil spirits. However, those same guards were actually the evil spirits. Interesting. "There must be a justification. I almost want to ask a gargoyle a question (More foreshadowing). Ask them why they despise us so much, perhaps." Jules questioned whether it had to do with guarding young or claiming new territory. Perhaps there was no explanation, and they simply enjoyed the flesh of witches. Maybe they found it to be sweet.

"Before embarking on an adventure, I'd like to at least finish my first day of school. Possibly after school we could do something." Jules reasoned that they could stay out of the forest by exploring the town or looking into specific areas of the school grounds. He was certain that he wanted to talk to a gargoyle—possibly a friendly one who lived outside the forest and wouldn't try to rip off his face. He required a ton of elemental training before he even dared to enter the forest. Jules thought he had heard the teacher enter, so he looked up. He nearly screamed when he saw a huge gargoyle standing close by. He had to shake his head to realize it was another witch. Maybe it was the teacher. Was he causing another scene or was he just delusional?

“Hi?” He inquired. He was completely out of it if there was anyone there. Sera had so many scenarios and ideas swirling around in his head that he appeared ill. He wasn't aware of the bell ringing, but he knew class had to have begun by scanning the space. Kids were probably going to make fun of this poor boy lost in his own thoughts. Jules felt like the walls were closing in around him.

Cuji

"Welcome class!" The door burst opened and walked a young teacher, wearing many trinkets and loose clothing, "I am your history teacher this year and my name is Ms. Delany. Please feel free to sit where you desire and get comfy as we are in for a journy through history this year!" Ms. Delany heaved her plie of papers and books onto the teachers desk and turned to the classroom with a wide smile. She was clearly passionate about history and wished to share her passion with new students.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Before laying his head back in his arms, Jules was able to have one good glance at Ms. Delaney. He suddenly felt dizzy and he was having trouble catching a good breath. If the thought of being massacred by numerous gargoyles made him queasy, his voyage through history would not be comfortable. He yearned for some fresh air for he felt trapped in this space. Nevertheless, he continued on and raised his head to see Ms. Delaney grin at each pupil in the classroom. With all the tiny accessories she wore, he found her figure to be quite fascinating. Undoubtedly a peculiar one. He made an effort to maintain control and avoid making a disturbance, putting his book aside. Jules was going to survive this and leave unscathed. Jules looked over at Squid to see whether he shared the same sentiments. He was certain that it was simply him. Sera's stories had caused him anxiety, so at least he wasn't going crazy and the teacher was nearby. However, he was now sick with fear. He was unfamiliar with this. Jules didn't have a lot of worries, but this killed him. He took several deep breaths, telling himself that he could defend himself and that his new friends would also be there to protect him. He was probably capable of killing a gargoyle. Julie grinned. He could beat one, for sure! He wouldn't be slaughtered.

@Pizzaz11 group

Squids anxiety wasn't nearly on the same level as Jules, although it was still there he mostly kept it to himself. He watches Ms. Delaney for a moment, she seems nice enough, thankfully. He was dreading the teacher being some grumpy boring old person- he fidgets with his fingers, picking at his fingernails and sighing to himself. The gargoyles just perplexed him, and anything that perplexed him usually gave him anxiety.

Squid glances over at Jules, frowning a little as he watches him. Wow he looks really shaken up, what could've happened? It seems like one moment Squid was listening to him inquire about gargoyles and the next moment he looked close to passing out. "Uhm..Jules, are you ok?" He whispers, not wanting to be too loud right at the beginning of class. Squid watched as the other grinned, is he ok then-?

@heeey-bitchhhhhhhhhhh

(Hey, sorry for never replying. I've just been in a bad mood, and you guys are mostly active when I'm asleep. I may leave. My family's annoying as hell (I'm on vacation until Sunday), and by the time I will have time to reply and be in the mood to, it'll probably be way too late for me to put Ena back in. I'm still here for now, but I sincerely apologize if I do end up leaving)

Cuji

(That's ok. Take care of yourself <3)

"So for this first semester, we will be learning about Realms!" Ms. Delany grinned. The topic of the seven realms was her favourite and she loved learning about them and make hypothesis' given the little information they had.
"You may or may not know, but there are seven realms that live along side us. Earth, Eva, Aifore, Oceana, Esul, Turrak and of course, Astura. Each realm is home to different species and creatures."
She lifted her arm and made a small downward motion with her right index finger. A large poster fell from the ceiling to reveal drawings of different species from the seven realms.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

(I’m sorry to hear that. Please do what is necessary for yourself)

Jules had managed to calm down. He wasn't entirely sure what had happened, other than that he had entered his own world. He prayed that that was the last time that he would experience such fear. I'm good, I swear. In response, he mumbled. "Sera's stories just spooked me and drew me deeper into my own thoughts, but I told myself things that crushed the terror.” He grinned to let Squid know he was alright. Jules did have a dread of dying; it usually gave him anxiety, but this time his fear became irrational. While maintaining his silly smile, he shook his head and concentrated on Ms. Delaney. Nothing will harm you, Jules! You're strong and competent to defend yourself! Maybe going on a journey wasn't such a bad idea. History may also endure. Everything would work out just fine. What might possibly occur? The school being attacked?

He didn’t have time to sink into his mind further, he was now focusing on a huge drawing of all that was out there. Jules could help but say wow. His anxiety melted away and curiosity took over. What would happen if they encountered something from one of the seven? He knew you couldn’t visit, but what if something visited them. The notions concerning the gargoyles were replaced by fresh concepts, which proliferated. Forget gargoyles!

(Sorry his character is all over the place 😵‍💫. His fear response is— high (Like his curiosity) and his mind is all over. I’m a sense he is like me-ish lol)

Cuji

"These are species from the seven realms." Ms. Delany pointed out the creatures, "Each realm is different from each other to best suit who is living there. Now you might be thinking, 'Ms. Delany, how come I didn't know about the seven realms earlier?' That is because travelling there is forbidden. Our gods are called Angels and they watch over us, making sure we don't travel to other realms. Getting there is relatively simple if you're a powerful witch. You create a small tear in space and time around your body and you are teleported to a realm. The tear then seals itself. This is how we assume witches would realm jump back before it was forbid…" Ms. Delany froze.
"I probably shouldn't be telling you that.." she mumbled to herself and rushed back to her desk, picking up papers that had lesson plans on them.
"Ah yes, thats right." She cleared her throat, "The realms have many different creatures but because no one has been to a different realm in millennia, we are no entirely sure on the looks or customs. We can only go off what we know in history books. So for our next activity, I would like you to use a history book as a reference and draw or write up what a human would be like." She lightly flicked her wrists, curling her fingers in and about 20 books exited the bookshelf, floating on a stream of air that Ms. Delany was manipulating. "You may use any of these books to help you." The books stacked themselves on Ms. Delany's desk and she grinned. "You may start. You have until the end of the lesson."

@Pizzaz11 group

(I agree)

Squid nods quietly, looking forwards and watching the drawing that Ms. Delaney pulled down before focusing on the teacher herself. He was a little bummed out when she trailed off and switched subjects, frowning to himself. He was definitely interested in the other realms, and how to get to them..it's not like he's going to try, hell no, but it's something he never learned about before- so naturally he's a little curious, hopefully they return to the subject.

Squids curiosity quickly turned into nervousness again as Ms. Delaney gives them their assignment, oh great. He has to draw- drawing is not his strong suit, he more prefers reading. Although reading about the other realms would be fun, there's no way he's drawing it. He's just glad that he can write instead, but even then his handwriting is mediocre at best. He sighs quietly.

Cuji

“You know, when I was a kid, I always thought humans were myths. Kinda odd to find out they were real,” Sera said and stood up, “Come on. Let’s get a good book before everyone else does.”

@Pizzaz11 group

"Hm..same, I guess..alright though." Squid nods, getting up from his desk and shivering a little as he goes up to get a book. He just grabs one and immediately returns to his desk, sighing to himself.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules leaned forward. Realm-jumping? The teacher switched to talking about creatures, but he still wanted to know more about this malfeasance. Did Ms. Delaney know what she was doing? She told a whole room of kids of how to realm-jump. But it wouldn't matter; he would have to conduct his own independent research. In addition, he was certain that Sera knew something. He had a sneaking suspicion that they would eventually engage in such illegal travel. He was now determined to maximize the potential of his element. As Ms. Delaney described the upcoming task, which involved the textbooks, Jules glanced up at her, watching as the books floated to the desk and settled on it. Drawing!? He shuddered. He was incapable of drawing, much less a creature he had never seen. He got to his feet, standing next to Sera. "Humans exist?" He pondered, attempting to recall the tales of his great-grandparents long ago that he had read in a hand-made book. "I never considered so. I initially believed that the strange creatures in my many great-grandparents long ago's old written tales were just weird creatures."  He shrugged, watching Squid pick up a book. Was he hesitant to approach the teacher's desk and take the materials she had provided?

Cuji

Sera picked up a books and flicked through it, reading about humans and Earth. She found it rather interesting. She then opened her book and started drawing a human. Her drawing skills weren't the best and she struggled to figure out what the colour of a human's skin was. They didn't have magical powers hense they didn't have colourful skin. Sera imagined they were gray and coloured them as so.
(Did you guys want to skip to the end of class? I don't mind what you want to do.)

Cuji

(Sweet)

"Ok class." Ms. Delany interrupted them from their activities, "Class if almost over so if you could please return your books and make a pile of your drawings or paragraphs on my desk. Then you are free to go to your next class."
Sera looked at her drawing of a human. She was kinda proud of herself but she wished she had more or an artistic talent so it didn't look like a grey blob.

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules did his best, studying the information provided in the text book about humans, but he also had a secret weapon: the tales of his long-gone very great-grandfather. Although not as beautiful as some, his drawing was effective. It appeared to be a stick with ears, but it worked. He gave it a peculiar reddish-brown hue that resembled a mango. Jules dotted a light gray color for the eyes. That was the best it would get. Even though he didn't feel particularly proud of it, he still signed it. Julian Rowland.  He stood up, stacked the book on top of the others, and handed in his assignment. He would never look at that monstrosity again. Jules went back to his friends.

@Pizzaz11 group

Squid sighs and gathers his paper and book, heading over to the desk and setting his book down on the stack. Of course afterwards he also hands his assignment in, having gone for the written description instead of the drawing. He hopes he did his imagination justice- he assumed, from the books and myths, that humans were 5 feet tall at a minimum and had yellow/orange-ish skin. He's not particularly proud of it but eh, it's the thought that counts.

Squid goes back to sit down again, looking around at the others for a minute. Of course he knows class is ending very soon- "..What did you guys come up with?"

Cuji

“I had no idea what a humans skin colour is. Cause we don’t know their blood colour. So I just went with brown.” Sera said packing up her stuff

@Anxietyfilledcinnamonroll group

Jules looped his satchel back around his body. "I gave it gray eyes and colored it orangish. I'm not very good at drawing, but I seem to recall reading about that in the great tales of my great-grandfather long ago. Dad told me they were all myths, perhaps not to pique my interest." He shrugged, waiting for the bell to ring. "What class do you guys have next? I think we all have the same schedule at least. That's a bit comforting." Since class would soon be over, Jules leaned against his desk rather than sitting. He grinned as he considered what lay beyond their world.

Cuji

“It’s either Elemental Studies or trading, one of the two.” Sera opened her schedule to check, “Studies and then training, one after the other. Sounds like fun!” Sera grinned at her friends
