“What do you mean by that?” He asked curiously, pulling a few papers from his bag and writing something down on them. “Help? As in someone to help out with the company?”

Yesim nodded. "Or are you not supposed to?" She asked, fiddling with her fingers under the table.

Victor leaned back. “Mm I wish it was so simple, Yesim. But l will be inheriting the entire company soon.” He replied.

"Oh–um–okay then," Yesim mumbled, letting her hair cover her face.

He smiled at her, his mind momentarily wandered to her beauty, finding the way she hid behind her hair cute. He shook the thoughts from his head.

“If you’re so insistent on helping me, I could make you my personal assistant.”

Yesim looked up at him, looking a bit surprised. "Me? But I would have no clue what to do."

(No problem!)

“It’s all really simple. I could teach you.” He said softly, a kind smile playing on his lips. “It’s up to you Yesim. I find you rather charming and confident. I would love an assistant of those qualities, not many have them as bright as you do.” He replied, resting his chin in his hands.

"Oh–um–uh, sure? I mean, I would love to, but it's just that I'm not really sure if I would be able to even though you said I would be good," Yesim replied quickly, her face flushing a bit again. Goodness, what is he doing to me?

“I am sure but it is entirely up to you. You are the one I am hiring. You may chose the job you want.” He replied softly, feeling warm when she blushed. He was a little happy he had that effect on her. But why?

Yesim nodded in reply, saying she had heard him. "I guess I'll do it then, I want you to at least have a chance of having a job you like."

“You’re too kind but please consider yourself in this as well. I’m offering the position if you’d like to take it. You’d have to deal with me for quite some time.” He joked, grinning from ear to ear. He seemed much gentler now, less intimidating.

Yesim chuckled, a small smile appearing on her face again. "I think I'll be able to deal with you," She replied before taking another sip of her coffee, wanting the effects to kick in already.

“Oh Yesim you have yet to see me upset.” He replied simply, winking. “Though I am thankful you say so. If that is what you would like to do, I will gladly make a schedule for you that best fits your own. And starting at eighteen dollars an hour seems good. Any comments?”

Yesim's face flushed a bit again at the wink. "When should I start?" She asked, wondering how long she would be with the other now.

“You could start tomorrow? Or Monday at the latest. It is all up to you.” His eyes flickered around the cafe. “It wouldn’t be too hard. I’d keep it easy on you while you learn.”

"I'll start tomorrow, if that's alright," Yesim mumbled, a bit of light shining in her eye and making it look amber.

He smiled, trying to conceal his joy. Whatever was happening here was far too much for him to understand. Did he like this female? This elf? “I’ll have you signed in then. Ask for me at the front desk and they’ll send you up.”

Yesim nodded in understanding. "Okay then." Why was her heart beating so damn fast? She knew for sure she wasn't in a race to see who could have their heart beat the fastest, but why? She wasn't flustered, or embarrassed.

Victor shifted nervously, looking at his watch. “So…we’re going to be around each other for a long time… we should maybe get to know each other a little. So there’s less tension.”

(Sorry about that! I wasn't able to get on much yesterday since it was my birthday)

Yesim shrugged. "Sure, why not, it's not like I have anything else to do."

(It’s ok! I hope you had a good birthday!)

“I’m free today as well, if you’d like… we could go take a walk?” He asked softly, looking anywhere but her face.

(I did! But I have to go to Washington D.C. in a week)

"Sure!" Yesim replied, fiddling with her fingers under the table.

(Oh! Sounds fun! Are you excited for it?)

He laughed nervously, running his fingers through his hair. He didn’t know what to say nor why he was so nervous around her. “H-have you always had your hair that long?”

(Yep!)

Yesim glanced at her hair and stretched out a piece. "This? I've had it longer, but I cut it short because it was annoying and kept getting in the way."

“It’s pretty. I like it this length.” He muttered, flipping through his papers and files to busy his fingers. He was buzzing with something he couldn’t understand.
