Ariel's eyes widened, but she shook her head. "No, it's - it'll be fine. She'd be dead asleep," she stated, really only assuring herself.
Ariel's eyes widened, but she shook her head. "No, it's - it'll be fine. She'd be dead asleep," she stated, really only assuring herself.
“Yeah… no,” Iris deadpanned. “By all means, I’d love a chance to knock her out for you, though.”
"We have to get her back somehow," Azriel crossed her arms.
(I'm not sure what to do, like Clare's just hanging out in the market buying pretzels trying not to get recognized, not much more to say )
(I’m asleep. Please drop me and get on with the story)
(Um. No. Twix kinda needs to fucking get back here but like wbatever)
(I'm also working on some things to move the story along a bit (I won't lie Craisio is one of my least developed kingdoms so I gotta do some stuff))
Iris’s silver eyes roamed over Arabella suspiciously, and she even nudged the human with her toe before concluding that the girl was asleep. Huffing and crossing her arms, she declared, “Fine.”
Azriel nodded and levitated Arabella off the ground. "Let's hurry," she suggested.
Arabella began to flail at the unusual situation. She kicked and screamed gibberish, but she didn’t wake up.
"Oh, do shut up, won't you?" Azriel snapped annoyedly.
Bella kept screaming and flailing, desperate to be free of whatever this strange feeling was.
"I don't trust…" Iris crossed her arms, finally settling on, "that. Could this thing maybe, like, not?" She absolutely refused to dignify the wailing girl with any title beyond 'thing' and 'that.'
"Apparently not. She'd prefer to throw a fit so we all know just how tragic she is," Azriel sighed uncomfortably.
The elf fidgeted, clearly struggling with the urge to blaze a trail through the forest by the power of pacing. "Absolutely tragic. Devastating." She mockingly shook her head, a wry smirk creeping up her lips.
"Horrible. Traumatizing," Azriel added with a tiny smile. "Outrageous. Revolting." Word games were always soothing.
She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, eyes shining. "Catastrophic. Appalling." Her squirming slowed as she eased her mind to focus on the present. "Scandalous," she whispered melodramatically.
"Absolutely horrific," Azriel agreed, putting a hand in her forehead dramatically.
Iris stared disdainfully at the tantrum producing thing. Her noise wrinkled as she said, "Heinous."
Azriel nodded. "Poor thing. Can't imagine what it'd be like to be tormented," she said lightly, looking over at Arabella.
She muffled a giggle by smothering it with her cloak. "Life must be hard." She nodded sympathetically.
Arabella had stopped flailing and was now curled in a ball whimpering.
"Yes, yes, you're scarred for life. Calm down, we'realmost there" Azriel snapped at the girl.
Arabella relaxed as her breathing slowed and her fingers unclenches to released the blood that had escaped.
Violently swearing and cursing several gods, Iris began stumbling back through the forest to Claire. She hoped the girl was still alive, because the elf was in no shape to handle Arabella.
