Arabella yanked her foot away and put it on the right branch. Then she jumped down and stood there, redder than a tomato. “Sorry.” Her Medien was almost inaudible, but Bella figured if they didn’t hear her, it didn’t matter.

Iris arched a brow. "Now… what exactly compelled you to do… all of that??" Her hand flailed around aimlessly, briefly motioning to the lake and tree. "Are you feeling okay?"
“It just felt right. It was so sudden, but it felt natural. I didn’t know what happened until Clare was dragging me out. When I was down there, I heard my fathers voice, telling me that I- that I was better off- dead.” Bella looked at her toes, ashamed to be admitting that. “But I need to get back to Alex. Yes. I must get back to Alex.”
"Well, your father doesn't dictate you," she stated. "And if you're going to be reckless, you could harm all of us. Try to resist the urge, okay?" Iris stared at Azriel, punctuating her Medein. "Alex?"
Bella nodded before and went silent for a moment. “Alex was- is my boyfriend. He’s back in Craisio. I really miss him.” Her words quieted down as she spoke. She should’ve been home by now. He must be worried. How long had she been gone?
"Craisio. Yes, back on track." With a final tentative glance, the elf faced the group. "We should be heading toward the mountains. Northeast. The sun set there, so…" Using a hand, she pointed in a general direction away from the lake. "…that way."
Arabella began walking toward the mountains in silence. Today couldn’t get any worse, could it? no she dismissed the thought and I on walking.
(Hey! I have to ask, what time is it where you live, I would like to know when the optimal time to post is. It’s around 5:15 pm here! I live in Texas if you wanted to see the time zone.)
(An hour after you, 6:17pm right now. I'm not responding though since I want to wait for a few others to do so.)
(It's only 4:20pm here)
(that should be the timezone for Emmylove too)
Clare tied her bag back around her waist, Craisio, the one place she didn't want to be. "If you get the urge again let me know and we can put you in the bag until you calm down." Clare commented walking towards the mountains.
(It's 4:33 here)
“Let’s hope I don’t.” She squeezed her fists so tight she punctured the skin, creating little crescents of blood on her palms. (1000000 points of nothingness if you know what show I got that from.)
(Is that a Riverdale reference? It sounds like something my friend was telling me about :P)
(Yes! Dark Betty!)
Iris lingered behind the group, wary eyes locked onto Arabella. Hopefully they could encounter a village with resources, or even a native tribe of people willing to offer food. Her hand still resting on the top of her sheath, the elf flipped the hood of her cloak over. The thought of her parents was pushed forcefully out of the Yrnan's mind.
(let me know when you're ready for a time-skip or narration)
(Down for anything, honestly, Idk what to do cause Azriel's just there for emotional support but mainly just awkwardness, so I mean - eh.)
(Maybe have the way-beast do something, or have them meet some people? I'm okay with anything, your world, your rp.)
(I have something in mind. Just checking to make sure you're finished with this area. I shall narrate (honestly kinda excited for this part))
(Downdowndowndown do ittt)
(Let's do it)
(By the way, since your destination is so far away I'll be just sort of jumping through time a bit. But things should start getting interesting soon plotwise. Anyway for now…)
You continue onward, away from the shelter of the forest and into the rocky tundra. The landscape stretches out to your right and on the distant horizon you can make out a tiny dark smudge that you think might be the beginnings of the Black Mountains. To your left, the ground ascends in a gentle slope that eventually arises into the Geminat Mountains. Ahead is empty terrain for miles with the only plant life being coarse grasses. After an hour or so of travel, you come across a narrow beaten path. Following it you trek until nightfall where you camp just off the road by a cluster of boulders. Through the night, the wind howls with a biting chill, signalling the end of warm, sunny days and the coming of the eclipse. By morning, the sun is a thin crescent in the sky and a dark shadow is cast across the land. You notice dark clouds rolling in from the peaks of the mountains and the temperature plummets. You have a long way to go before you reach civilisation.
As you begin settling down for the last true night, you spot figures approaching in the distance. Even from where you are, they are easily identified by their powerful horse-like bodies and humanoid torsos. A group of centaurs slow to a stop at a respectful distance. They eye you and the way-beast that has accompanied you on your journey thus far. One, possibly their leader, pauses when he sees your weapons.
"You are travellers," he says in thickly accented Medein. "Bad time to travel."
