The Yrnan shrugged, paranoid eyes darting at every rustle and flair of color. "It doesn't really matter - we just need to head west and not die." A cold smirk. "The latter will pose the biggest threat," the elf mused in Medein. "With all these guards patrolling around like hypnotized zombies…" Her eyes lit up, "I bet they ate the bread. This is why we don't eat the bread."
Azriel looked over in confusion and frustration. "What are you saying?" She sighed.
"I don't mind translating for you," Iris frowned, glancing over at her angel. "Cracker lover over here wants to know what we're doing, and Azriel lover here is explaining that our main goal is to not die." She shot a beaming smile, then a wink, at Azriel. "Got it?"
Azriel rolled her eyes, blushing slightly and trying not to smile. "I suppose so."
Playfully, Iris pressed on in Brachish, "You suppose so? Which part is responsible for the most misunderstanding? Not dying, or Azriel lover?" She acted like she was scanning her angel up and down, scrunching her nose. "I can see both being troublesome tasks to intake."
Azriel gasped in mock offense. "I like to think being an 'Azriel lover' is a very easy task," she shot back with a hair flip.
Loving this side of her normally reserved angel, the elf decided to keep matching fire with fire. "It's about as easy as being an Iris lover," she risked, arching a brow for Azriel's response.
Azriel held up her hands in agreement. "Like I said. A fairly easy task." She shook her head. "Honestly, it's like you're not hearing me."
"Hmm, I don't know if I agree with that…" She turned a gaze at the rest of their clump. "Perhaps we should gather their opinions if it's so 'fairly freaking easy'. I'm pretty sure I've created such a kind, generous first impression."
Azriel rolled her eyes. "Oh, do shut up. You're not allowed to do that. Just because you act like a… like an ass, doesn't mean you actually are an ass."
Her vision wandered and jolted to the girl. "Are you implying that I am not a cold, heartless bitch? I am very much offended," the elf sniffed, though she was silently warmed by her words.
"I'm sure you are," Azriel said sarcastically. "Now could you please shut up, already? I think it's been made quite clear that you're not a heartless bi - twit, though your hands are admittedly very cold."
"Twit. Such an improvement." The elf smirked. "My hands were cold, but you have a talent for warming things up. Not just hands. Hearts, lips…" Iris didn't finish, letting the comment hang in the air.
Azriel crossed her arms, feeling her face heat up. "I told you to shut. Up." She pouted, looking away.
She loved this side, too, Iris decided. The humble, easily flustered angel. "You really are so easily lovable," Iris breathed out, unintentionally.
Azriel groaned, hiding herself in her wings. "You're not shutting up. Now is decidedly not the time for flirting. I look like I've just flown into the sun, and it's all your fault."
"But you are the sun, in my world," Iris giggled, a foreign sound even to her ears. "You set that one up, I had to," was her apology.
Azriel crossed her arms tighter and straightened her spine even more, trying to maintain composure. "You're going to make my heart implode, you arse," she muttered.
Reluctantly, the Yrnan spared her. Laughing, again - she did that quite often with Azriel - the elf tossed over her shoulder, "See? I am a jerk."
Azriel sputtered. "No, no that is most definitely not what I - I just meant - " she snapped her mouth shut in frustration.
Stretching for show, Iris turned around at her little angel growling and stuttering. Love that, too. The thought flashed by before she could comprehend it. "I think I've won, sweetie."
There are several choices that have been set before the group. Turn south, deeper into Yrnan territory, and go around the mountains, continue true west and trek through the mountains or head north towards potentially hostile tribal lands. Mountain passes are often treacherous and sometimes are blocked. There is, however, a path into Craisio through the mountains used for trade in the north. All choices present the risk of potential death or imprisonment.
(was having so much fun though ;)
(aaand that's why you need a room. don't want your fun getting too out of hand)
