( Sorry for the late reply was doing things for the holidays but of course!)
(Hope that was directed to me or this would be awkward but no worries. The holidays is usually the time when people are busy and if that was directed to me, I will go make a character right now.)
( It was, can't wait to see your character )

Folen is tall and slim like elves usually are. He is around 6’5 to be exact. His skin is a light tan as his mother was a human who was moved from the east. His father was an elf from Edor and pale. His ears are smaller than normal elf ears and are only slightly pointy. He looks like what you expect a half elf to look like. Features that are distinctively elven but smaller. His eyes are in the middle of being narrow and round and it’s color is a dark chocolate brown. Folen’s eyes got damaged as a child so now he wears glasses to help him see. His hair is also cut short and is a light brown. (Do glasses exist?)
Personality: Folen is an only so he group up mostly on his own. This lead him to be more isolated and socially awkward. A lot of people perceives him as cold and closed off. When in reality he is awkward and doesn’t know how to start a conversation. But if someone stays the conversation, he gets a lot more talkative as the fear of being annoying is pushed to the back of his mind. On the up side, growing up alone gave him time to read and explore. Folen is a really curious and intelligent person. He has a really good memory and remembers some obscure facts.
History: TBD
Other: Folen lacks the grace of a elf and is really clumsy. He has an allergy to nuts, but still has to temptation to eat them as he ate them all the time as a kid before realizing he was allergic. He also has an extensive knowledge on plants and nature.
Theme Song: Why Worry by Set It Off
The lights were dim at the hounds in, Heebe stood there taking a sip of the ale out of her cup, tasting the bitter sweet liquid hit her throat, she looked around at the crowds of people sitting at the tables cheering, arm wrestling, and laughing. She was waiting for the crew the ruler had put together. Heebe looked back at the letter feeling bored from just sitting her, she wanted to get a start on the journey as she knew it would be a long one full of obstacles. She took the dagger out of her sheath begging to swirl it between her fingers feeling the cool metal on her finger tips. She looked up at the bar tender keeping her voice low " This place seems lively, no wonder why everyone loves it here." She gave him a kind smile, before getting up to look at the necklaces placed deliquity upon a pillow, she loved spoiling herself, she picked up the silver necklace with the radiant dark blue stone and placed it amongst the bar, " I'll take this." She put a pouch of golden coins in front of the man. He nodded and took the pouch. She felt bad for the man to have his tongue cut out by a brutal soldier from the other kingdom, she winced at the thought of it.

Taking her seat back at the bar she ordered another ale, watching the people in the inn's tavern. It was quite amusing watching men arm wrestle to prove their strength amongst the others, she had never understood why they did such things as if she saw a man trying to boost his ego she'd gag with disgust. She chuckled at her own thoughts and went back to her ale and dagger this time carving into the bars delinquent frame. Her thoughts began to wonder to who would voluntarily go to the dark forest know for no one escaping the dreary forest with. They said everything had eyes and teeth from the trees to the plants that grew in it, of course it was folklore from the people who told such tales as no one would dare to enter. I guess that's why the king had a team formed. The sounds of the loud cheering and roaring where making her annoyed. All she wanted was the team to get here so she could leave to the quiet forest, she was feeling the urge to put the dagger in someones throat. She looked down at her hellhound and he was even bored, she slid him a piece of bread before returning back to her dreadful thoughts.
Magnolia gripped the letter in one hand and her dagger in the other. As an ex-thief, she knew to be ready for anything, and though the Inn didn’t look dangerous from the outside, there was no way of predicting what was inside. The letter told her to find the Captain inside, though without a description she was going to have to ask around.
Planting a confident grin on her face, she crossed the threshold and was inside. The first thing that hit her was the noise, and everywhere she looked there were people talking, drinking, and laughing with their friends. It was a place she could see herself hanging out with friends, if she had a groups of people close enough. Men were arm-wrestling all over, and her lips curled with a smirk, knowing she could beat all of them.
A lone woman at the bar stood out to her, and with a curious look, she made her way over to her. The hellhound at her feet sort of freaked her out, but somehow she could tell the beast wouldn’t attack unless provoked. “Hello.” She nodded a greeting, before sitting down beside her and ordering a drink herself. “That’s a magnificent creature you have there.”
Violeta entered the Hound's Inn apprehensively, one hand on the satchel that rested on her hip. She looked around and winced. What a place to meet for an "important mission." How on earth was she supposed to find who she was looking for in this mess. With a sigh of discomfort, she walked up to the bar and asked the bartender, "you wouldn't happen to know if there was a… captain here? I'm looking for a crew," she explained, tapping her foot anxiously.
She turned to the women who was speaking to her and nodded, "Yes, He is quite lovely." Taking small glass vials from the inside of her cloak she poured a liquid on top of the stone, she watched it sink into the blue stone turning it while. Taking the necklace she placed it on her neck and hid it beneath the rest of her clothing. She looked at the girl studying her appearance clothing, and the way she carried herself. "Im Captain Monroe, pleasure to meet you."
Her hellhound stood up towering over herself and the girl. He let out a yawn showing off his sharp layers of teeth and sending the stench of his breath towards them. " This is Abhram, don't let his looks fool you he doesn't bite that much." She signaled to the Innkeeper for another drink. Then noticed the small woman standing by the bar, overhearing her she looked at her "If you've signed up for the Dark Forest I'd be that captain."
Her attention turned back to the other girl, "And something tells me you are here for the journey as well."
Magnolia watched her carefully, confused by what she was doing with her necklace, but not questioning it. It fascinated her though, and she wondered what kind of liquid she was using that was turning the stone white. She’d never seen anything like that before.
“I am.” She held herself high, not bothered by the large creature. She’d seen plenty of hellhounds during her travels, fought most of them too. “Nice to meet you Captain.” She dipped her head respectfully. “I’m Magnolia Torre.”
She stood up looking at the Inn Keeper. "Any others looking for this journey send them to the basement." She turned her attention to the girls "Well sorry for the place we had to meet up in, It's best to keep it looking inconspicuous. Many of Edors guards in the castle are thieves of information, they'd sell secrets for just the right price hard to find someone loyal these days." She swung herself over the counter grabbing the keys that was kept in a drawer. "Now if you follow me it's time to get suited up. We need to pack lightly we only have one wagon to hold all of our supplies. We leave on horseback the journey should only take two hours, As you know many have not escaped the Dark Forests grasp, we need to watch each others backs the forest contains dark magic that can easily kill anything."
She walked towards the dark narrow hall and unlocked the door to the basement, the walls were made out of brick and the floor was rug. Everything else sparkled in the room the tables had lining of gold, and the weapons were forged by the finest crafts mans found, "Courtesy of my guild members, this place will have any weapons you need. The wagon has food and water already stored, along with herbs." She walked over to another door in the room and pulled it open revealing clothing and armor. "Pick out what suits you." The hellhound walked down the stairs and a gush of air closed the door and it locked itself he grumpily rested by her side.
Violeta blinked, looking around the room. She swiftly picked up a small dagger and a few extra outfits, putting them in another bag, as she didn't want to mix her medical equipment with anything else. The quality of the weaponry truly was magnificent, and almost made her wish she knew how to use it.
Nathaniel slipped into the inn, a hood drawn over his face. He really didn't feel like getting any stares today. "Pardon?" His accented voice made itself known to the innkeeper, who looked over him. "Do you know of any people questing?" He needed someone to travel with and/or end up using as a meat sheild if it came to that.
Heebe pulled her hood off her head, revealing the elven ears and her white locks. "Once done gathering what you'd like to bring put it in the wagon i'll meet you outside, I believe someone else has made it here. Also enjoy the last day of being as clean as you are. Bathing conditions in the forest aren't really clean…" She walked up the stairs her Abram following behind the girl. She made her way back to the bar she studied the boy before ordering another ale. "If you're looking for the people on the quest to the dark forest then you've found them… if not then I wish you luck for finding who you are searching for." She took a sip of the ale turning around and watching the others arm wrestle.
Magnolia wandered the room, looking over the things she thought would be most helpful. She already had her dagger and her amour, but she had brought a satchel in the case she’d get more supplies. So she picked up another dagger, a pistol, and two cases of bullets just in case. Then she grabbed a few changes of clothes, and a case of throwing stars. When she had everything packed up in her satchel, she turned to the other woman in there with her.
“Hello! I’m Magnolia Torre. I’m excited to be adventuring with you!”
Violeta jumped at the sudden noise, but quickly recovered and offered the woman a smile. "Violeta de Luca. I'm sure it will be a lovely adventure," she responded softly, her Italian accent making her words bright. Violeta tried to never raise her voice, if she could help it.
Folen was late. That he knew. Where he was late to was a totally different dilemma. He kept repeating the same sentence in his head; it had to be a tavern. The residents of this city loved to drink. There must be hundreds! Well maybe not hundreds but enough to slowly crush the half elf's confidence with each rejection. Some knew of the quest asked by the king but none knew those who signed up. So there were a few bar keepers who laughed him out the door as he continued his searched. At one point he considered that he was lied to or misunderstood. How embarrassing this must be to an outsider looking in. But he must not fret as this quest was made out to be very important.
He approached another tavern with a heavy heart. This one he knew was the most popular in the city and it had to be busy. Crossing into the threshold, his assumption was proven correct. The first thing to hit him was a wall of noise so loud he almost stumbled back in shock. The next thing to hit him was the strong scent of ale. Folen had never been much of a drinker and some would even call him a lightweight. But he had a responsibility to fulfill so he pushed on. Approaching the bar keeper, he didn't even think of what he was even going to say. "Is there any captain looking for a crew?" He asked dully waiting for a rejection. To his surprise the bar keeper nodded his head towards a tunnel leading down. "Er… thanks." Was all he said before entering and walking down the tunnel. It lead him to a room with a smaller group of people which he presumed to be the rest of the crew. "Uh… hello."
"Nice to meet you Violeta!" Magnolia said cheerfully. The woman looked very nice, and her soft tone and accent made her words extra bright. She could tell that they were going to be friends. "And hi!" She turned to the newcomer. "I'm Magnolia! The Captain is upstairs but she said to grab whatever you need for the journey. There's all kinds of cool stuff in here." She pointed to all the beautifully crafted weapons.
Folen almost visibly relaxed at the warm greeting. He definitely let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. The kindness, even if small, was very different from the response he had gotten throughout the day. It helped a bit with his shyness but not enough to jump start him into rambling. So he gave a small kind smile to the stranger before saying, "It is nice to meet you Magnolia. I am Folen. THank you for the instructions I missed." He then made his way to the armor and weapons were being stored to choose what bested suited him. He pushed up his glasses, before looking between the cloth armor or the leather. Of course steel or other metal armors re more sturdy and most go with those for protection. But they also took muscle to wear which the half elf did not have. It was better to keep it as light and effective as possible. This is how he came to choosing the leather armor even though the cloth was better for meela, he had a feeling there was going to be more shooting involved. Then he grabbed a set of small throwing knives, daggers, and a machete.
Nathaniel slipped into the room, carefully selecting a thin sword before setting it back down. He had his own weapons and he really wasn't in any danger of dying… Considering he really couldn't. He didn't speak a word to the others, barely even looked at them to be honest.
