"But where? We don't know where they've gone."

"Anywhere. We have to start looking for them." She started walking in no particular direction. In all honesty, she had no clue what to do. That's what scared her the most.

Aidan used mind control to make Jordan walk back to him. ` I am not going anywhere without a plan. `

Jordan was shocked that he would use his powers to change her. "You're right." She admitted.

"Let's go back to my place and sort out a plan."

"Sounds good." Jordan reluctantly followed Aidan back to his place.

When they entered, it was clear to see whose stuff was whose.

"Wow… um… nice place you got here." Jordan was still fidgeting from the previous events and was normally bad at small talk anyway.

"Val decorated most of it. She has an eye for that kind of thing."

"That's pretty cool. I'm a slob."

"So was I." Aidan led Jordan to a secret room. "This is our base of operations."

"Cool." Jordan looked around at their tech and tried desperately to tame her racing mind.

"Val and I figured out a few years ago that every powered person has a certain heat signature. For example, mine is orange with flecks of gold. Val's is mostly gold and red in a kind of zigzaggy pattern. However, this is similar to most other people with super speed. Luckily, since she also has chaos manipulation, her signature is rimmed with a scarlet colour, very different to the red due to her super speed. I just need to track this. And wherever Val is, Peter will be too."

"Okay." Jordan let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding.

Aidan set the tracker going. "It shouldn't take long."

"Hmm. What if they covered their tracks or something? Then what will we do?"

"Either way, you can cover a heat signature. It's impossible."

"Alright." Jordan couldn't help but worry. After all, she loved Peter and couldn't bear to see anything happen to him.

"What do you want to do while we wait?"

"Do you have any food? I get snacky when I'm nervous."

"Yeah, you can check the fridge."

"Thanks." Jordan opened the fridge and took out a yogurt. She folded the cap and used it as a spoon.
