Damian picked up on the shift in tone, seeming to clam up a bit. “I’d rather you did, just to be safe.” He replied, growing quieter. It unnerved him that she seemed to pick up on his lie so quickly.

((Guess who was looking up symbolisms of herbs and made a discovery.
"I-if you're sure then. What about chamomile, for prosperity?" It was an attempt to alleviate the awkwardness, and she paired it with a soft smile.

“I’d like that.” Damian cracked a smile, closing his eyes to enjoy the soft breeze. “I must admit, I know more about growing plants then their meanings. Maybe you could teach me?”

((Were you aware that Basil is a plant common for invoking love and prosperity?
"Oh, I would love to!" She looked over at him, smiling softly at the sight of him looking so peaceful. "It's always fun knowing what a flower or herb means. You can even make bouquets of flowers that signify how you feel about or view the person you're giving them to."

((I was not aware! I just like the smell of basil lmao))

Damian pondered this for a moment, considering this new information. “Interesting. I suppose I didn’t consider that. Is this important to your culture? Or is it an interest of yours?” He opened his eyes again, looking around at the scenery as they drew close to the edge of the city.

"A bit of both maybe? I come from a line of witches, so there's that…" She trailed off, looking up at the sky. "And plants have always been interesting."

“Forgive me for stereotyping, but I assumed as a pyromancer you had little interest in what is of little threat to you.” Damian bowed his head for a moment. “I suppose it is my own fault for basing my prior knowledge of pyrokinesis upon my brothers as they are…” He halted, for a moment, struggling to find the right words. “The complete and total opposite of you, for which I am relieved.”

"It's fine, I can see why you might think that." Catori laughed lightly. "Not that it quite matters, but plants definitely can be a threat. Anything can, if used right."

“You are astonishingly intelligent.” Damian commented, his eyes sparkling. “I assume education is also very important to your culture.”

"I-er-" She looked away, face heating up. "Something like that."

Damian smiled softly. “I apologize, I didn’t mean to startle you, Catori. I have elected to let you set the parameters of our relationship, since I am…” He cringed st the word about to leave his lips, his pride almost stopping him from mumbling out: “rather inexperienced.”

"You don't have to apologize, Damian. You just, caught me off guard." She looked over at him, the red of her cheeks somewhat lessened. "I should be apologizing for getting so flustered over a compliment."

“Nonsense, I am flattered you think so highly of me.” Damian seemed a bit amused by her behavior, “I hate to begin pestering you with this now, but have you considered the Uh… um, well—“ He seemed to have a hard time forcing himself to say the words. “Ah, never mind. It’s too early anyways.

"You already started the sentence, you might as well finish it." Catori stated, quirking an eyebrow.

Damian groaned quietly in protest, but spoke up “The wedding?”

"Considered what about it? There's a lot that goes into a wedding."

“The date, or if you actually want to marry me. And whether or not your family is okay with you going off an an adventure and getting married without telling them…”

"Oh, the date was something I hadn't even considered. In any case, my family would be glad to see me finally out of the palace. It's…been a while, to say the least." She chuckled wryly.

If it were up to Damian he would sit here all day and compulsively ask if she was certain she liked him. Instead, he smiled, chuckling. “My father wanted us all out as well.”

"Ah, new adventures and getting away from the family." She proclaimed dramatically, arms out in a wide, flourishing gesture.

Damian chuckled in amusement. “Quite the family we are now.” He looked around at the odd procession. “A prince, a princess, two horses, and an arrogant bird.” He looked over at Copper, who had perched on the carriage being pulled behind them. The magpie was fast asleep to Damian’s relief.

"We can take a break anytime you want," Pine said with a soft sigh. "Do you like shopping?"
"You like fighting, huh?" Victor commented. He waved at Alexia to come over uncertainly.

"… Yes." Ursule said, pausing for a moment before answering that.

Alexia nodded and walked over to Victor, still confused but not showing it. "Hi Victor," she said, nodding to him and then nodding in greeting at the other princess, "Who is this?" Her tone was slightly hostile if you listened closely, but she tried her best not to show it.

Lotus sighed and shook her head slightly, "Not particularly, unless it's shopping for books."
