"No, I should be apologizing. I-did you really…think I would do that?" Catori was worried, that hadn't been the message she wanted to put across.
"No, I should be apologizing. I-did you really…think I would do that?" Catori was worried, that hadn't been the message she wanted to put across.
“I do feel as though I’ve known you for quite awhile already, but I cannot be too careful.” His smiled weakened. “I don’t take kindly to being used and cast aside.”
She looked almost sad at that idea. "You don't have to. Damian-I'm not leaving, okay?"
Damian tentatively nodded. “I apologize for doubting you, princess.” His voice remained low and a little wary.
"You keep apologizing for things you shouldn't apologize for." She pointed out, a small smile on her face. Lady help me, I might just be getting into something I won't be able to pull my way out of. If I even want to…
“I suppose it’s a bad habit of mine. I’m—“ He cut himself off, realizing he was about to apologize again.
Catori laughed. "You really have nothing to apologize for."
Damian found himself soothed by Catori’s laughter. He smiled serenely, becoming a bit bashful once again.
“It seems as though you have a lot to teach me.”
"I am quite the fountain of knowledge." She joked lightheartedly, trying to ignore how strange she felt when he smiled.
“I was going to wait to tell you this, but I suppose I might as well now.” Damian looked at his supplies, eyeing the locked up chest filled with coins. “I have… a sum of money that’s yours once we’re safe in Sana. Well, your spending money and the wedding money is part of the same budget, but we could get married in a field for all I care. I can not disclose the amount to you now, but I will once we start our travels.”
"That's really unnecessary, but…thank you, I suppose." She didn't seem quite sure what to do with that information. "Would you really be fine with a field? Because that sounds like a splendid idea."
“Yes! Absolutely.” Damian realized he sounded a little too excited. But he’d just got a princess a liked to agree to marry him! This was unexpected in the best possible way. His entire stance shifted, now tall and confident, his eyes alit with pride.
((I gtg and actually get some sleep!))
Catori raised an eyebrow at the sudden change, but smiled. He looked confident, and-strong. Yes. Strong, that's it. "I was slightly kidding about the field part, but it actually does sound like a good idea."
((gnight, i wish u the best of sleeps friend
(MY GOSH THIS IS THE BEST IM DYING I SHIP IT SOOOOOOOOOOO HARD RN PLEASE DON"T SINK MY SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(@Joy which ship? Ursule and Lotus or Damian and Catori?)
“Wherever you want then, I trust your judgement.” Damian took a deep breath of the air. As time went on, he realized he was going to miss this place less and less. “What do you like to do
for hobbies?”
"Learning about different types of magic, anything to do with music I find enjoyable, and cooking, of course." She answered happily. "What about you?"
Damian nodded, his head already buzzing with ideas on how to make Catori comfortable in Sana. “I am rather fond of being around nature, whether it is simply strolling through it or doing something more intensive. I am fond of gardening as well, as my abilities give me an advantage. I suppose I like to read as well, but since I am incapable of most magic I enjoy reading about herbs.”
"Oh, maybe we could start a small herb garden!" Catori mused, mind swimming with possibilities.
“I would like that.” Damian tried to stifle the smile that was attempting to work its way onto his face.
((aaaaww
"I can't wait! That reminds me, what is the food Sana like?"
Lmao, Damian’s not exactly an expert with romance so he’s been caught off guard at the moment))
“I haven’t been there in years, but it’s very… vegan-like in nature. Lots of fruits and vegetables. Meat there is good too, but less common.” Damian explained, trying to remember what the food was like from diplomatic meetings when he was younger.
"That could be fun to experiment with. You enjoyed your time there?" Catori asked, wanting to learn a bit more about the man in front of her.
He nodded politely in response. “If memory serves correctly, yes.” Damain replied curtly, unwilling to reveal too much about himself to Catori. He wasn’t ready quite yet, even though he knew he’d likely be marrying the girl in front of him.
