/Darn. Why can't the earth be flat and we all have the same times zones./
Bronze looked up at Eira, exhausted and beautiful, and tried to grin at he gripped his bloody shoulder together, "Can I have that kiss now… milady?" He could barely lift his head off the ground.
Eira nealt down next to Bronze, “After your shoulder is bandaged.” She stood back up and offered him her hand.
Bronze let out an exasperated groan, then took her slender hand and grinned, "You fight bad*ss, I could barely do anything."
“Practise makes perfect.” She helped him as best she could to a near by tent, and quickly finding water and bandages to clean the wound.
Bronze's wound stung so he tried to talk his way out of it, "I just- I froze. Kind of ironic for a guy who can wield fire, right? The heat just reminded me of… of my family. I just never really got the chance to redeem myself. So I've been a coward ever since, really," He paused, trying to take in the pain, "That's why I just couldn’t use my magic like that.
“Understandable, but promise me from now on you’ll practise so you can get out of situations where I’m not there to help you.” She bandaged his shoulder.
"I suppose you're right. Maybe I can find someone to spar with later," He sighed, then brought a small grin. Bronze turned his head so they were nose-to-nose, "But what if I want you to help me more?"
“Then I’ll oblige.” She glanced at him quickly before continuing to carefully finish the binding.
Bronze looked at her hands as they tied up his arm and back, and he realized he hadn't even noticed when he felt the gentle brush of her emotions against his. "Oh dear. I might have a problem. I might need some help. You see, I'm have a slightly hard time recollecting what was promised to me before I was all bandaged up. I think it might have something to do with," Bronze changed his voice to a higher pitch, "After your shoulder is bandaged…” He finished it off with a grin.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’ll have to tell me.” Eira purred as she started to roll up the extra bandage.
Bronze leaned in, "Oh do I now?" He got close enough so their lips were about to touch, "Can't I just show you?”
“Go ahead…” She said quietly and glanced at his lips for a second for returning her gaze to his eyes.
Bronze could barely hold himself back anymore as his lips met hers and he felt like melting.
Eira was slightly shocked at first but soon relaxed into the kiss, subconsciously placing her arms around his neck, but gentle enough that she didn’t hurt him.
She felt so small in his arms, even when he was sitting. Sometimes he forgot how different he was compared to the average height. Their emotions mingled together and he didn't feel so overwhelmed like the first few times they touched, "I love you," He murmured against her lips. And then he vowed to himself. He wouldn't let his fear of his powers make her come, put herself in danger, because of him.
“I love you too,” She said back deepening the kiss slightly. Even though she had only just met him, she did love him.
