(o ye, I gotchu )
(the guard is still not really a guard-)
(ik, but Ginger doesn't, she thinks of that guard-looking thing as a guard)
(Ok so. Dev is headed towards the source, Elias knows this and wouldnt lead the guards to him, so would probably co-operate or something.)
"Bold of you to assume my parents would care, I may be the heir in theory, but we all know I wont take their place, I'm 'much to reckless'. I'd 'start a war' according to them" Elias rolled his eyes.
Devon followed where the staff was leading him, sticking to the shadows where his black attire hid him relatively well.
(hey fellas, I have to leave for a while. I have to go to bed and I have a full day tomorrow. ill be gone for approximately 20 hours😭 sorry🥲)
(Thats alright, we'll be here when you get back)
Ciana grabbed Elias's hand, before storming into the castle to find Devon, not happy.
"Dev already left, so if you can just lead me outside, that'd be great" Elias hummed, trying to keep the guard distracted.
"No, I can tell he hasn't." She said, watching for the dust in the air that was moving more than in other halls. "He went this way." She wasn't sure that it was him who went this way, but someone had walked these halls very recently, and there weren't any guards around here.
"Uh…no… why would he?" Elias was confused, how could she know where Devon had gone, even he didnt know.
Devon had made it to a door, it was locked. He sighed and glanced around. He didnt have any way to unlock it, not yet at least.
"I don't know." She said, watching the way the light hit the dust particles, and the way the dust moved. "But he did." She said, turning the last corner, finding Devon. "You have been asked to leave." She said simply, approaching him. "Both you and the electric heir."
Devon sighed, turning around, "I am sorry, but that's not happening. I need a piece of the source, and I can't let you stop me" the staff started to glow faintly. "this idiot thought he could talk his way through, but obviously that didn't work."
Elias huffed, "It totally was worth the try, better than you attacking the fire kingdom on your own"
"You getting a piece of the source isn't happening either. You are not getting in that room."
"you cant' stop me, Not that you should, if you knew what i did, you'd be helping me" Devon shook his head.
"I know who you are, Prince of the Dark Kingdom. I know you are not to be trusted, and i know that i can stop you." Ciana said, glaring.
(Would his staff show him that there was a piece of a source on her?))
(yeah, what source would it be tho?)
"You know that? Do you know what we are raised to do? Why we are kept locked away all of our lifes" Devon glowered.
(Light source)
"No. But i do know that you have never once come to the annual meetings, where me keep peace, review treaties, and make sure everything is alright between the kingdoms. I know that, other than this, nobody has ever seen a dark kingdomer. and i know you are trying to steal bits of our sources. And i know that the sources must not be tampered with."
"I need the fire source so I can get the ice source, which I need to get the water source" Devon crossed his arms. "I can't tell you why, unless you join me. I'd ask for yours, but your source is not use to me yet."
"You don't get any of the sources. except, apparently, the electric source." She said, letting her illusion fall. "I have no idea why the crown price decided it was a good idea to give it to you" She snarled, "But I'm not letting you get any others."
"Well, I decided it'd be better to get on the high kings good side" Elias shrugged, causing Devon to glare at him.
"You really don't know how to shut up" Devon shook his head, he looked around before removing his mask with a sigh, "I don't want to fight you miss, honestly. But I need the sources." His face was covered in scars, his purple eyes glowing the same as the staff.
"Tell me why, and maybe ill consider letting you." She said, casting a curious glance at Elias. (I hope devon knows that nobody can find the light kingdom without the aid of a bit of the light source…))
(He doesn't need the light source to get another source, so he thinks that by the time he needs to get it, he will have the others)
"The Dark Kingdom don't have any known gifts or powers…but… there is the prophecy that one person will be able to control all elements. Well…we are… tested for that, our entire lives…and for the last few centuries no one has been able to… but… I can't prove it without the sources… And I don't want to be… this high king…but… I have the ability. I'd much rather keep things the way they are" Devon sighed, he doubted she would believe him, but he could prove it if need be.
"Look, the source is useless to anyone who can't use the power, the only reason they are so protected is because without them, the kingdom would be in great trouble, so whats the harm with giving him just a piece." Elias shrugged.
((he'd have to wait for the annual meeting if he lets cianna go now))
"If you'd rather keep things the way they are, why bother trying to get all the pieces?" Ciana asked, not believing it. She believed that he had the power, but she didn't believe it was going to be beneficial if he got it.
