Xara yelped. "Jesus christ! What the hell?!" She stumbled backward.

The bartender turned to Lucisan.
“Hey there fellow, what’d you like today?” He asked while brewing a drink for another customer who sat at the end of the bar.
“Apologies” the Furnace Constellation quickly said before his armor covered him. The armor was mostly gray but parts of it were on fire.
“Hey hey, no need to get angry—” the attacker’s dagger was waved around nonchalantly “—it will all be over if you two just give in” they teased a little.
Fornax moved to stand right in front of Xara.
“Stay behind me…” they whispered, glancing at the trees around them.
Luc rubbed his eyes and sighed. "A vodka would be great." He said, looking down at his wounds and scratches. I look like a was beat up by an alley cat then thrown into a dumpster fire.
The bartender served the other customer their drink before brewing Lucisan’s.
“One vodka right up” the bartender set Luc’s drink on the counter in front of him. They then went back to cleaning the dishes near Luc.
“Would you also like something to eat with that?”
"Whatever's cheapest, please." Luc took a sip of the vodka then promptly buried his face in his hands. "Everyone in this kingdom is insane." He muttered.
The bartender nodded as he started to prepare a dish for Lucisan.
“Here you go fella” he set down a dish of smoked salmon with pickles and dark breadsticks.
“And yeah, I agree completely to what you said” he laughed a little before stroking his beard once and went back to doing the dishes.
Luc started to eat, rolling his eyes. "I came into this kingdom less than a month ago to study and so far, I've been attacked two times in the past day."
“Sorry, that’s normal here unfortunately” the bartender mentioned as another person came into the tavern.
“What would you like new fella?”
“Just chardonnay please si— and the smoked salmon” the young figure answered and sat down beside Lucisan.
“Alright young lad” the bartender then started mixing the drink for the new customer.
As Lata finished her statement, Draco flew upwards at a fast speed, hard for even a bird to follow him. There was also a sphere around Draco, a translucent one. He flew around Lata in random directions, making it hard to hit him by just focusing on his figure.
There was no real pattern as to how the knight was flying. She would have to guess at where he would be and corner him from all sides. Summoning a dragon took more of her magic energy than her illusions did as they were more physical. In appearance however…
Lata lifted her arms to bring forth two beasts of energy, neither physical nor deadly; simple decoys. Draco shouldn't know the difference however. In mere moments, both were flung in the direction of her opponent.
The dragons flew up near Draco before exploding to fake aura. The smoke from the explosion faded and revealed nothing.
“Phew! Close call!” Draco was flying behind Lata now, untouched completely.
Lata pretended to be frustrated, but internally she was overjoyed. He didn't sense the difference in magic. She summoned a few more decoys to fly towards Draco, waiting for the right moment to create a few of the real dragons. They curved around the area behind the knight, aiming to surround him. This would in turn cause him to take off from his current position.
Draco seemed amazed by the amount of dragons around him. His wings fluttered once to dodge one which came from his right only to turn around and be hit directly by one he didn’t see coming towards him. With the smoke from the real explosion going off, the Dragon Constellation flew down and landed slowly. He glanced at his pocket watch.
“Two minutes and fourteen seconds…” he sighed with a smile.
“Congratulations, you really outsmarted me with the directions of those”
Luc tilted his head a bit in his arms, turning to look at the newcomer. He didn't say anything to them, just gave a glance.

Fornax moved to stand right in front of Xara.
“Stay behind me…” they whispered, glancing at the trees around them.
"Wha - fine. I'm not completely and utterly useless," Xara muttered annoyedly, taking a knife out of her pocket.

The girl grinned, happy with her accomplishment. She honestly had expected for Draco to find some way to weasel out of getting hit. "And the best part was that I didn't even use the same ability," Lata said. "You weren't exactly an easy challenge."
"Where's Horologium? If you're him then yeah, I need you to do something" Quebec said before dropping the body's hand on the ground. He panted heavily seeing blood stains on the floor and his outfit.
The newcomer to the tavern looked quite young, maybe a little too young to even drink alcohol though it was no doubt that they were about the same age as Lucisan judging from their style of clothing and voice. When their drink and dish was served, they started sipping the chardonnay.
“So, what brings you here your royal highness?”
Fornax heard the metal clank behind him and started thinking of something. The target in front of him will be hard to hit directly, there has to be a way to slow him down. Then it hit him.
“In that case can you distract him for me?” He asked quietly as the winds blow, scattering the essence of flame around the Furnace.
“Well, I mean, I haven’t been practicing much myself so my speed’s a little slower than it should be” Draco scratched his neck nervously.
“Hehe, since we’re already here, anywhere you wanna go explore or anything you wanna ask me perhaps?”
“Horo? Oh he’s on that side of the hall” the figurine pointed to the left side of the floor.
“That’s… Basilisk right?” They asked as they started examining the figure closely.

Xara smiled, eyes glinting. "What kind if distraction did you have in mind?"
“Constant movement” Fornax replied as his eyes were focused on the trees behind the attacker. His eyes were up in literal flames.
“Well, I mean, I haven’t been practicing much myself so my speed’s a little slower than it should be” Draco scratched his neck nervously.
“Hehe, since we’re already here, anywhere you wanna go explore or anything you wanna ask me perhaps?”
That meant that her ability was paired nicely with the new one. Without it, the trained warrior probably would have bested her easily. At the question, Lata hummed in thought. "Not really, no. I wouldn't even know where to start because this place is so freaking huge." The girl gestured at the area they were currently in. It was fairly large as she had said and the castle was like a maze to her at this point.
“Hm… well I can show you one of my favorite spots around here” the Draco brought up with a small grin. His red irises still showed, but they looked much softer when he spoke in this kind of tone; they didn’t look cruel, they just looked warm.
Xara nodded and swiftly cartwheeled out from behind Fornax and towards the attacker. "Hey, why are you attacking us? Is that like a thing here? Constant attackers? Like an inside joke? Like, there's always an attacker, and sometimes like 9 to 10 in one day, and you all just laugh about it cause I mean come on, everyone knows injury is hilarious, right?" She laughed slightly hysterically as she cartwheeled around the attacker.
The girl shrugged in response, removing her helm. "Sure, sounds good," she said, trying to offer a small smile as well. Draco seemed different now. Like he was with his dog almost. It was nice, but confusing. Was he supposed to try and warm up to her because of her position? Or was it like he was her personal guide for the day? Either way, she'd take the good outcome rather than come up with a bad reason behind it. Or try to at least.
The attacker clenched his fist as he started to follow Xara, swinging their knife around.
“Come here, come here!”
Fornax smiled as he stood behind a tree, activating his power.
“Oi oi, timber!” The Furnace Constellation pushed the tree in front of him softly as it started to fall. The attacker was right in front of the tree when it fell, sinking him down into the ground. Fornax then started to burn the tree alongside the attacker.
“May you rest in peace” the knight stated as he knelt before standing up straight again.
“Worked as planned”
Draco looked around and started to walk towards a specific direction before stopping and looking up at the sky. Without a word, he turned back to Lata, grabbed her by her shoulders and jumped away from their spot. A second after they jumped, an explosion hit the ground, following it was a shadowy figure.
“Are you alright?” Draco asked, concerned of Lata’s wellbeing while he was also keeping an eye on the figure.
Xara grinned. "That was fun. I should distract people more often."
