ok… so I'm really bored… so I've thought of a roleplay… whoever comes first can choose which job they want… here's the options:
Messenger: comes up with a problem for the king to solve. (e.g. "M'Lord! M'lord! a horde of farmers are rioting and heading towards the castle!")
King: comes up with an unreasonable solution. (e.g. "Send the guards and tell them to kill every peasant who questions me.")
Advisor: tries to steer the King to a sensible route without offending him too much. (e.g. "Your Highness, we need the farmers to grow food. Perhaps killing them wouldn't be the best route. You're wise, I'm certain you can find a solution that will work out for the best of everyone's interests. Imprisoning a few, perhaps…")
(Hello, I'm very interested-)
(Hello, Which role would you like?)
(I'm really good at coming up with unreasonable things, so I personally think I'd be better as the King. It's your choice though)
(The choice is yours! I'll take whichever's left)
(Then, I'll choose the king :) )
(Right, so no we need a messenger or advisor depending on who joins next :) )
(This seems really cool, may I join?)
(Yes, would you like Advisor or Messenger?)
(Messanger if that's okay with you.)
(Sure! Advisor was actually my preference! :) )
(you start, Messenger!)
"M'lord! M'lord! There's a disturbance breaking out among the nobles! Lady Avarice has accused Lady Tithe of sleeping with her husband and they're fighting tooth and nail. Not even the guards can pull them apart, what shall we do?"
"Barbaric! Your highness?"
"Let them fight to the death! It'll be a show for the public and whoever wins, wins the argument and the husband."
"Maybe a more diplomatic approach would be best… have you considered investigating whether the accusations are true?"
"Messenger! Send as many guards as it takes to pull the Ladies apart! We can't have such behavior in the royal palace!"
(Okay.. so like four messages just disappeared, anyone else notice?)
(Sry, I'm going to bed, TTYL)
(yeah, a couple of yours seem like they got deleted somehow. Night)
"Yes, sir!" The messenger bowed to the king and advisor and scurried out of the room. He returned a few minuted later, noticeably disheveled. "The ladies have been pulled apart, sir, but Lady Tithe has been knocked unconscious! What shall we do with Lady Avarice?"
taps chin "Hmm, perhaps the dungeon would be of use… What say you, my King?"
"That may not have the desired outcome, M'lord. Perhaps you should investigate, and watch how Lady Avarice's husband responds to the accusations… A brilliant idea of yours, your Highness!"
