Sam nodded, confirming the fact that Margot and her had never met. "Mental health is probably a big reason why we didn't met." Sam said as she stroked Violet. "If we don't have control over our powers or alters than that could be a problem."
"I know, but it still seems a little odd…" Margot hums thoughtfully.
Ryder shrugged, opening his mouth to actually speak. "No idea." He said in a hoarse voice, he hadn't talked to anyone this week.
Margot stared at him in shock. "You liar, you said you were mute!" She giggled, playfully smacking his shoulder, "Selective mutism is different, silly."
"I am mute, most of the time. My vocal cords are a bit damaged from an accident so I can only talk a bit." he explained through sign.
"What accident?" Margot asks concernedly, scooting closer to Ryder.
(It's a little sad how oblivious Ryder is…)
"Rather not talk about it." He muttered, already regretting speaking. Patton said it was totally fine if he didn't want to talk, Virgil said it was scaring enough, Logan said that not speaking about ir could help forget it.
"Course." Margot lays her hand on Ryder's shoulder comfortingly. "I've had some pretty bad shit happen to me too."
"Oh yes, I had ment to ask about what happened earlier. What happened? Did you get called by your parents name too? Did your alters take over? Are you all alright? Is your brother okay?"
Sam stared at Ryder. "That's fine." She said. "You do you." She said raise her hands up. "Margot. What is he saying?" She asked.
"Actually, yeah…One of the nurses called Tim Mark…and he's asking what happened earlier…Tim'll be fine." Margot explains, switching from Ryder, to Sam, then back to Ryder.
"I just still don't get it….somethings up that the adults won't tell us about." Margot mutters.
Don't be sad! The Septiceye jumped off of Margot's lap and started running in circles. Don't be sad, look at me!!
"Like what?" Sam asked petting Violet. She hadn't had anything weird happen except for the Anti attack.
"Well, Tim looks nothing like dad, and from what I've seen from Thomas Sanders, neither does Ryder…" Margot explains, "Don't you think that's a little weird?"
Sam shrugged. "Maybe they didn't know your names so they just refereed to you as your parents." She pointed out.
"Yeah, I'm adopted so I really don't look like him. Which is why it's weird that I have sides too…" He signed, mostly to himself.
Sam stared at Rykar. "I need to get a book on sign language." She mumbled to herself. She could get bits and pieces but not enough to under stand him.
"Then your real parents must have had sides…" Margot decides, "But they still called you Thomas, and the fact you are adopted makes it even weirder."
"They didn't but okay, anyhow! Yes it is quite strange that we would be mixed up…."
"What? How is that possible? It isn't…I know it's not! Having sides is a genetic condition, I would know! My dad works for YouTube herself, and I've BeEn ReAdInG uP On THIs scieNCE I WAs FiVe! It'S nOt POSSIblE!" Margot started hyperventilating as her darkness tried to make yet another appearance.
Ryder summoned a side, knowing she wouldn't look at his hands enough for him to sign. "Okay, I'm Creativity. I'm going to hum a bit and you are going to listen, kay?" The glasses wearing side said, patting her on the shoulder.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Sam said as she grabbed onto Margot's shoulders. "Margot! It's okay! Calm down!" Sam said in an effort to calm her down. "Look at me!"
"It'S NOt PosSIBlE!!!" Margot screams.
"Okay, this is where I feel the need to step in." Ryder's Logic intergected. "Ryder's sides, well, we were created from trauma in the aftermath of the event that injured Ryder's vocal cords. Everyone has sides, or egos in some case, deep in their mind and that is where they stay unless you have dominant ones. In which case those make an appearance in your childhood. We, for Ryder, were like the ones deep in his mind, but when the event happened… Ryder needed us to help make decisions for him as he was unable to."
