Mari and Tsu were talking as they walked. a few other people joined their conversation.

During most of the walk, Kaito was trying to talk to most of the other students in the class. He seemed to be pretty intent on becoming friends with most of the class, and he really seemed to enjoy encouraging them. It was also pretty easy to notice that he was still looking forward to most of his time at UA. Of all of the students there, he was likely one of the ones with the most passion and determination.

Meanwhile, Shuichi was trying his best to avoid most of the students. The overlapping conversations bothered him a bit, but he couldn't do too much about that. He would just have to deal with everything since he couldn't tune them out or anything like that. He was noticeably blushing, too, as it was only a couple of minutes ago that Kokichi had called him handsome for no apparent reason. It was likely that he would need a couple of minutes to calm down.

As they came out, the teacher handed one of the kids a ball. "Throw it as hard as you can. the person with the lowest score will be expelled, after all the tests."

Shuichi hadn't been expecting Kokichi's actions, nor was he aware that he could mess with people's senses as well as control them, which made him susceptible to the attack. However, that was likely a blessing since it stopped him from being overwhelmed. It was strange how the other could mess with his hearing, but he simply added it to his internal list of notes about his quirk. He would have to keep that in mind for future occurrences to be prepared for them. However, in this case, he didn't mind that Kokichi had gotten his quirk to work on him.

Kokichi smiled softly. He looked almost adorable.

Shuichi noticed that Kokichi was smiling softly, and he couldn't help but return the smile, a way of thanking him for everything. However, it was only a couple of seconds later that he looked away from the other. Trying to maintain eye contact seemed to remain difficult for him, although he was gradually finding himself more comfortable around Kokichi. They still had never introduced themselves, but he still felt himself becoming more comfortable around him.

Despite originally thinking that Kokichi was nothing more than a being of chaos and lies, he seemed to be a decent human being, at least with him. He still seemed to dislike Bakugo and possibly their other classmates, but he didn't seem to hate Shuichi at all. He was aware that there was a possibility that he was trying to manipulate him, but he found it rather unlikely. It seemed like Kokichi may have genuinely been interested in being his friend.

Shuichi glanced at Kokichi as he was handed the ball. It seemed like the first training exercise would begin soon, as soon as Kokichi threw the ball. Due to the other's quirk altering his hearing, it was only then that he understood what they were actually doing, but he figured that it was a normal thing to test the students' strength on day one to understand their basic abilities and how training would affect and better them.

After that, he simply waited for Kokichi to throw the ball so the training exercise could begin. He figured that the teacher would not enjoy to be kept waiting for so long, so he hoped that everything would begin. He really didn't want there to be any drama that morning. As much as he wanted to become a hero, given that he enrolled in the school to begin with, he would prefer for that to happen without everyone causing chaos, although that was unlikely.

Finally, it was Mari's turn. She took the ball, glanced nervously at aizawa, and reached for her chlorophyll. The teacher raised an eyebrow at her, but allowed it. sleepstalker launched the ball as far as anyone could see, then some. it came back just as quickly, after the teacher recorded her results. Sleepstalker and mari (for the moment) had formed a cross between the two, where mari was in control, but sleepstalker's form was present.
