Takao simply shook his head, still flexing his fingers in thought as his eyes flickered to the snake-like hero.
Specter started to speak, but Skulk cut in. "Ooh, can I take this one?" The director's brow furrowed, but he shrugged, saying, "Go for it."
The underground hero swept her dark blue hair behind her ear, drawing Takao's attention to the bandages wound around her fingers all the way down her forearm. She shifted her weight and pointed a crutch at him, first, explaining, "Well, I think he's pretty obvious after his demonstration just now, but Inkmeister here is also useful for how versatile his quirk is. Cobra–" she shifted the crutch to point to Takada "—is crucial to the operation with that venom of his, since he can incapacitate enemies if things go south. Finger Guns–" another shift of the crutch "–has the most experience out of the four of you and the best long-range capabilities. Void is the emergency transportation and one of the key pieces to this operation, seeing as her quirk is rare and highly valuable to The Syndicate." She lowered her crutch from where it was facing Miyazaki, looking pleased with herself.
"Moreover, none of you have your own agencies and you're young enough that you haven't had as much exposure as a lot of the other pros. That should help you fly under the villain's radar, but not to worry! You'll be given convincing disguises, too. It's up to you four to come up with aliases and an alternate quirk description. Damn! It's good to talk again," Skulk finished rather loudly, looking to the director to see if he had anything to add.
"…Above and beyond, as always," Specter commented dryly. Skulk grinned. "Plus Ultra, you mean?"
Takao muttered something that sounded vaguely like, "Damn U.A. graduates," but there was a touch of amusement in his expression.
"Well," Specter said, gathering everyone's attention again. "If that's all, each of you will be given the file detailing the intricacies of the operation. Memorize it and dispose of the evidence. As always, it'll appear only for those cleared to read it. If that's all," he trailed off, waiting for anyone to speak up, then nodded and began walking to the door, passing out the aforementioned file as he went.
"Skulk, you'll need to give an official report to the police now that your voice is working again," he reminded the underground hero, who hummed noncommittally and moved to follow. Suddenly, she paused, a serious expression on her face. "Good luck, you four. You'll need it." On that ominous note, she turned and exited the room.
It was quiet for a split second, then Takao fervently mumbled, "What?!" He glanced up, holding his paper up with a raised eyebrow. "This says the operation starts Wednesday. It's Monday!"
