Hey, I'd be willing to join this as long as I/my character doesn't get left behind too quickly. That's what happened with the last two Warrior Cats rps I joined, so I'm a little bit cautious about joining these now. I hope you understand, school and homework has been bogging my activity on Notebook down.

Yes you can. Main character is the cat who's point of view the story is in when we focus on that clan. So, you could be the focus of the Riverclan part of the story, unless you want to leave it for someone else. It's your choice.
